I'm unable to respond because I haven't taken it down since I put it up. However, it appears that it will not do so; however, it is secured by two screws, which will leave two holes in the ceiling when removed.

A handheld steamer would be my first choice. I didn't give it a shot- Mine hasn't wrinkled up yet. But I'd give it a shot.

My daughter adored it, and I used the canopy's mounting hook in conjunction with the included adhesive sticky pad. I firmly pressed it into the ceiling and tested the hook, which surprised me because it was firmly stuck in place. I immediately set up the canopy, and it lasted for a week. My 5-year-old daughter, on the other hand, was so excited today that she stepped and pulled on the canopy so hard that the hook broke and the canopy came crashing down. The adhesive mounting plate is still stuck to the ceiling because it was so firmly in place. In a few minutes, I'll place an order for replacements.
The canopy is fantastic. I wanted something solid rather than sheer, and this fit the bill perfectly (for reference, it's over a full bed). The color is a deep mauve that is quite lovely. I didn't use the provided hook because we had just finished having our ceilings painted and I didn't want the Mr. to throw a fit. My only criticism is that the edges should have been finished with a coordinating thread. The fabric is extremely soft and thin, but it is extremely well constructed!.
To hang the lights, I had to hand-sew a hook inside. The material is excellent, holding together well and not being cheaply made or fastened.

It's super soft, the pink is a soft blush, and it's big enough for her, a friend, and several large stuffies to sit under it. It was simple to set up- I used the adhesive to attach it to the ceiling because she's old enough not to pull on it, but I can always use a screw if needed. To help with adhesion, I first cleaned the ceiling with rubbing alcohol. This purchase has made us extremely happy!.
I really like it, but it's more of a mauve or off pink color than red! still matches the colors in my room! However, that is not a red color!.
It's one of the best purchases I've made this year; excellent quality, simple installation, and the perfect color for my daughter's new room with an animal world theme. I would strongly suggest it.
It's light and easy to put together, though we used different hardware than what came with it.
