Can you tell me how long the cord is for plugging ?

It is a 16" pigtail style cord that can extend up to 30" in length This is a 32" long garment.

When this is turned on, will it help heat a small bathroom?

I would say certainly, but bear in mind that it'll be about the same amount of heat that comes from a 150 watt light bulb, so the heat will become noticeable gradually. It's easy to set the towel warmer to turn on an hour before you intend to enter the room so you'll have it in place when you arrive. Even if the door was closed for an hour, it would still make a difference.

It heats towels quickly. The towels we now have are warm, which helps us keep our bathroom from getting too cold. This unit is easy to install and comes with a switch on the bottom.
