It was discovered that the base of this product is not rustproof, which resulted in the staining of the entire floor. As a general rule, this area is NOT wet. It should not have been expected that a few drops here and there will cause rust. Spending money in vain.
I don't think stainless is the best. About a year and a half ago, we bought one. A beautiful and functional design. I really liked it at first glance. However, as we approached the end of the first year, some rust was seeingp into the area where the handle is attached to the brush. I would like to add a little to the base then. Our plan was to get a new one, but we never got There is indication that a guest used the bathroom and put away the brush while it still had water on it and left it in an annoying state. After discovering a big rusty pool around the base the next day, we called the police. A lot of stains have been left on our grout. As soon as we saw it, we threw it away. Our goal is to eradicate rust from the grout as soon as possible. It's a good thing whatever we replace it with will cover up the stained grout (or almost all of it). Is stainless steel a good choice? It's not likely at all. I'm sure you can do better, Oxo! The only reason I would give it only one star is that we were delighted with it for the first 10 months or so.
This is a rust bucket, but they have great customer service. Let me first say that I have been very pleased with Oxo. I always go to them when I have a choice. I liked this when I first got it, but I don't like it now. A few years ago, my husband and I bought two each for our bathrooms at the same time. This brush was awesome because I lifted the handle and the top opened and stayed open until I put it back - I absolutely loved this! The scrubber did a good job of cleaning. The iron kept rusting and I vowed to have something else manufactured. The top ceased to stay open, so you have to hold the top's wings open to replace the brush This is icky! At the moment, I'm looking for a new setup, but I contacted Oxo as soon as possible. The customer service took some time to get back to me, but they said they could send a picture and get a replacement for me or give me a refund if I had the receipt. I am gratified for their concern for customer service, however, I am back to shopping for the most mundane of items.
There is a large sticker on the exterior of the vehicle that I want to complain about. I purchased the plunger with the sticker on the back when I first bought it. On the front is the second. As far as the plunger itself goes, it is top-notch. But the glue they use to apply the labels to the plunger is very difficult to remove (in fact I gave up) and there is a lot of it, and it is three places at once. Having worked as a buyer for 36 years for a large retailer, I would never have accepted this type of gluing. EVEN IF THE LABEL WAS USEFUL, IT WAS NOT USEFUL. NOW I'M STUCK AND I HAVE NO PUN IN MIND WITH ALL THIS DAMN GLUE ON BOTH PLANE. The issue here is that details aren't being addressed. Customers are not well served by this company. In this line of work, it is always a great idea to think like a client. The glue back then was much better than now, and I have been retired 15 years. As a result, this should not be rocket science. I completely understand. It is often the little things that get to me, however.
This is a very bad design for a product from Oxo. Your bottom gets wet, as expected, but after that, the metal rusts, leaving you with spots on your flooring. When you twist the brush handle to clean, the brush head becomes detached from the handle.
The item is as advertised, is better designed, and the condition of the item is good. Comparing this one to the white OXO one I have, this one has added style it has been placed in the guest bedroom. With such an ergonomic design, the length/thickness of the brush has the same benefits as any other brush brand It is sturdy and doesn't budge under pressure, and the head can be replaced, so you don't have to purchase it every time. The base is heavy enough to prevent it from falling While there is a small slot for evaporation in the bottom of the cup, the bottom of the base does not have any ports, so the brush shouldn't rust. It must be rust from the base being left on a continuously wet surface since others have reported it.
I like how well it is made and it works as it should. It's worth the price because this plunger is good quality and everyone will want to know where it's from.
