I think these soap savers are brilliant! It is easy to cut them to fit any soap dish with scissors and they keep the soap drier than the traditional ones with knobs or spikes. It has the advantage of being easy to clean, just rinse it with warm water and it will return to new. At all our sinks, we use bar soap instead of liquid soap because we prefer to wash our hands with it. Those artisanal bars stay nice and dry, thanks to this! (My husband also likes these soap savers. It is rare for him to say such things! I love it!.

The reason I bought them is that I don't like letting my soaps sit on the shower shelf, but I find them to be a little different. As it turns out, I didn't fully realize that these would catch all that extra soap that gets smeared off from In that case, I feel like I need to clean them every once in a while to prevent them from getting too mildewed. There has to be a better way for me to take care of these, maybe it's me, but I am not 100% sold on them. Although they do prevent my soap from simply sticking to the shelf, they aren't entirely necessary.

In comparison with some of the nicer brands, these hold a little more water, so they aren't as good if you have a water-collecting surface. It is pretty consistent that our shower shelf gets soaked. The soap never fully dries, but they work in most cases. Although the sinks work great, the one by the sink is a good choice.

It's really hard to beat these soap savers. Depending on what you have, they can be cut to fit within any soap dish or travel soap container. Once it gets "soapy," a quick rinse and some shaking will clear the soap and water out and it can then go back into the container. Using this method ensures that my bar of soap never gets soggy and gross, and the soap container also stays clean.
