Questions & Answers
No, they didn't, and I wish they'd been more explicit about it. Brush heads are about 5 millimeters apart in the "steel" and "original" versions. The refill brush heads aren't interchangeable because there's just enough of them. Take note of what I've done wrong.
Maybe you have hard water, which would explain the rust, but I keep mine upright and they never rust. I replace them every 90 days or so because scrubbing pots and pans with them dulls them. However, this is to be expected.
Only the Steel Soap Dispensing Dish Brush can be used with these brushes. The refill brushes for the original Good Grips brush refills are slightly different in size. br>br>I have a new Good Grips brush as well as a Steel dish brush. The Steel dish brush's brushes are softer than the original brush's white bristles. I prefer the brushes that are more firm. For both soap dispenser models, I wish OXO would make softer and firmer brushes. I really like the stand that allows you to dry the original model while standing up. The Steel model does not come with an OXO stand.
Take the white plastic piece out of the equation.

I have the regular (non-SteeL) OXO brush and decided to get the SteeL replacements after reading that they are easier to clean and that food particles get stuck between the bristles less often. These are very comfortable and simple to put on. The plastic base is gray rather than white, as it was with the original attachment, and I prefer the white one's appearance. br>br>On this attachment, the bristles are shorter and firmer. Although particles are easier to remove, the shorter and less flexible bristles make getting into crevices and corners of dishes more difficult. So, while I prefer the original white attachment in terms of performance, the food particles not washing out of that one drove me insane, and the SteeL version is a great solution.
I don't. The bristles on the OXO STEEL brush head were too soft for my liking. They're so soft that drying the STEEL dish brush on its side results in a permanent dent in the bristles on one side. br>br>You can't replace the STEEL brush heads with the firmer standard brush heads that I prefer because the standard brush heads won't fit the STEEL brush. I ordered STEEL replacement heads along with the STEEL brush, not realizing there had been a change in the brushes. (The bristle change isn't mentioned by OXO. ) )br>br>Instead of keeping the brush and replacement heads, I'm going to order a regular OXO dish brush and replacement heads.
My one- The product itself does not deserve a star because of the dreadful packaging. br>br>These are pinned to a very hard plastic card that requires tin snips to cut through. br>br>However, you won't be able to free the brushes even if you use tin snips to remove the card. The brushes are attached to the plastic card by a plastic pin that runs through the center hole (where the detergent comes out). To remove the pin, use two pairs of pliers to pull the two ends apart - It's too thick to cut with scissors or anything else that would be considered safe. This is a good product, but I was frustrated when I couldn't get it out of the OXO package. It's held in place by a white plastic button. Detaching comes with no instructions. So I went to YouTube and watched a guy simply snap it, and the plastic easily broke. It wasn't easy for me because I have arthritis. I'd tried everything I could think of, including scissors and every other tool I could find. I feel stupid for not figuring it out on my own, but I noticed a few other reviews expressing the same dissatisfaction! This is a communication failure on the part of OXO. The issue isn't with Amazon. br>I hope this information is useful! It is, in fact, a very nice product!.
A-Z- It's incredible that Santa placed them under our Christmas tree for our grown children. This is a true story. One of my sons was cleaning up breakfast before we even opened gifts on Christmas morning, and as he stood at the sink scrubbing plates with my OXO brush, he asked, "Man, where did you get this brush, it's fantastic?" "Won't he be surprised!" I thought to myself, chuckling. We roared with laughter when four brushes were unwrapped at the same time an hour or so later. These brushes last a long time, and replacement brush heads can be found on Amazon for a very low price-- win, win! Rather than the clear plastic handle, I prefer Oxo's stainless handle. It's a little more expensive, but it doesn't look as bad in the sink or on the counter.
There's nothing bad to say about this. It's a replacement for the stainless steel OXO soap dispensing brush, and it works in the same way as the original. The original was simple to remove, and this was similarly simple to apply. The soap is still dispensing normally, and the brustles and scrub head are still performing admirably.
We've been using these, as well as the handle that comes with them, for years. Most of my large dishes that don't go in the dishwasher are hand washed with plastic food scrapers and these brushes. The food scraper gets rid of the big stuff in bowls and plates, and then I use the brush and soap to get rid of the rest. As a result, very few food particles stick to the brush, and the brushes last a long time before I need to replace them.
These are the replacement brushes for it, and they do a fantastic job. I know I'll keep ordering these replacement brushes because the steel brush lasts longer than the plastic version. They snap on easily and last a long time; I highly recommend them.
