It is very easy for them to grow mold.
The soap stays off the counter, but mold builds up and it is impossible to remove. When I feel like they're gross, I'll throw them away.
I don't know what to expect so I only gave it a "meh". It has an unfinished bottom side, which is simply a mirror image of the functional top side. Having the option of "self draining" sounds good, but the reality is that it will only auto drain a little, and the rest has to be poured manually.
