(Review by wife of account holder) I prefer liquid soap, but my husband prefers bar soap. There are several versions of traditional soap dishes and I've always ended up with a stinky, gloppy mess because he doesn't notice that he's putting more water on the soap than to wash it. The "dish" is perfect. Water and goo drain away, and soap has a happy home. Despite what the spongey thing looks like, we did not cover it with it. As far as the grid, I just place it at the edge of the sink that hubby uses most of the time, and the spongey thing in a less used soap dish upstairs soaks up a lot of goo, however, it does need to be rinsed occasionally. Even with the cost of the metal grid and natural sponge, I cannot believe I spent so much on them. However, I was desperate and they made me rich!.

Obviously, this is something I would use in the bathroom to hold soap bars. It is pleasant to hold the soap in this soap holder due to its concave shape. It is sturdy and easy to clean, and it dries soap nicely with lots of air flow. I've had it for a couple weeks, and it is great for me. Due to the shape of my sink, I placed a small rectangle of no-skid material It works just fine, and there is no moisture on the ho skid Due to the function I intended for the soap holder, the cleaning pad that came with it has not been used.

This soap holder might have been nicer if there were rubber feet attached so it wouldn't slide off the slanted sink surface. When you place the container on the flat surface of the counter, that water drains off and collects on the surface. The holder falls off almost every time you put soap on it if you place it on the slightly slanted surface of the sink.

sponge is made of plastic. Keeping the soap from slipping is achieved with a mat while the metal rest drains any water that may accumulate. The metal rest on this item is a little large, so I would caution buyers about that. The item fits fine on the shelf of my shower, but it does not fit on the shower ledge in the guest bathroom.

Because it looked like it would ensure that my soap stayed dry, I bought it. The program is very effective at doing that. Using it without a soap saver works fine for me. This little rack will accumulate soap scum, since it doesn't serve as a dish but is just a rack. I must wipe underneath it regularly to prevent it from building up. I don't expect that to be a surprise. This is quite a nice soap dish that looks exactly like the picture and is fairly decent quality for the price. The dish is large enough to hold a large soap bar without a problem. would have liked to see it in an oil rubbed bronze or brushed nickel finish. In my bathroom, shiny chrome looks out of place. I found it to be exactly what I needed and expected.

The item has been in my possession for about two years This month marks 3 months since the beginning of the year. It has no rust on the stainless steel part and the padding it comes with is fantastic. I use it because it makes my soap last much longer than it used to, and it keeps things around the soap neat as well.
