Questions & Answers

Is this, like the green one, a genuine TheraCane product? On TheraCane's website, there isn't any mention of a blue model. ?

Before buying the blue, I borrowed a green model from my gym's trainer. The situation appears to be identical. So far as I can tell, it's genuine. TheraCane is the name of the product on the instruction pamphlet.

Is the instruction pamphlet included in this?

It should, because my cane came with an owner's manual that detailed how to use it on various body parts.

Is it possible to unscrew it so that it can be stored?

No, it's a solid piece of plastic molded over a steel cane that I use to reach those hard-to-reach areas of my back. I wish I'd known about this product when it was first released 20 years ago.

Is this something that can be used to help with lower back and hip pain?

That's exactly what it's good for! You can also massage the hip muscles without really getting to the root of the problem because a lot of hip pain is just referred pain from the back. Also, in Treat Your Own Spinal Stenosis, try some of the multiifidus back strengthening ex's.

This is something I really enjoy
5/5

Don't ask your friends to help you untangle a knot in your back if you like them. You'll quickly discover that they're either complete jerks or don't care enough about you to go out of their way to assist you. If you want to keep believing that you have strong, true friends, get the Thera- Cane. You have complete control over the amount of pressure applied and where it is applied. Do you have a back knot? You do not require the company of others. Thera Cane is a good friend of yours. The internet is also a factor. The internet is also a good friend of yours. br>br>Until I discovered this, I had no idea how bad everyone I knew was at giving massages. I had no idea that a ten-minute session with this cane could relieve a knot that had been bothering me for days. I've persuaded everyone I used to call friends to get a Thera Cane by letting them borrow mine. They think I'm a better friend now than I was before because I helped them. But the truth is that I don't want to be around those whiny, fair-weather friends. no longer have any friends. Allow them to deal with their issues on their own. Simply take it. br>br>.

It's incredible how versatile people can be
5/5

The more you use it, the more you will find out about it. Finally, I decided to give Thera Cane a review. I've had this incredible tool for almost two years and have been blown away by how versatile it can be if you're determined to get the most out of it. Unlike many people who came across this product in search of a cure, I don't have any severe pains from frozen shoulder or sciatica, but I use it every day to improve my flexibility and range of motion because I have knots all over my body that are impeding my progress. The product was first introduced to me in the book "Trigger Point Therapy," which is also a fantastic book and has become my bible. br>The instruction manual shows 15 or so basic ways to use Thera Cane for neck, upper/mid/lower back, hamstrings and calf, and that's probably the most common and effective ways to use it, but if you keep using it, you'll come up with a lot more creative ways to use it on your own. While at my desk, I occasionally sit on the stick in such a way that it provides good pressure to the adductor muscles, shin muscles, and quad muscle attachments. By simply propping on it in a certain way, you can massage pect muscles, shoulders, backs of the armpit areas, and so on. And this morning, I discovered a fantastic way to massage/stretch the subscapularis, teres major, and pect major all at once without exerting any effort. This is a truly remarkable tool. br>However, I still visit a massage therapist on occasion when muscle tension has built up and I am unable to release it sufficiently on my own. Professional hands, I must admit, work wonders on areas where I am unable to do so. This tool, on the other hand, is fantastic for maintaining muscle health on a daily basis, and I keep it with me at all times.

The blue "generation 3" TheraCane is stiffer than the green "generation 2" model
5/5

This is fantastic! Because I'd never seen it in blue before, I was concerned that it wasn't a genuine TheraCane product, so I contacted TheraCane and spoke with a member of their senior leadership team. He confirmed that there are a LOT of fakes sold on Amazon, and that it is an ongoing issue for them to keep up with, but he did confirm that this blue TheraCane is their newest product, as the first TheraCane was extremely rigid and not conducive to certain exercises. I, on the other hand, adored it. They responded to customer feedback by releasing the 2nd generation TheraCane, which was far more flexible than the first, despite the fact that many customers, including myself, thought the 2nd gen model was too rigid. The blue model of the third generation TheraCane is much more rigid than the second generation. I obtained this information directly from the manufacturer once again. br>br>After using all three generations of the product, I can say without a doubt that the first was as rigid as a rock, the second was far more flexible, and the new blue model falls right in the middle in terms of rigidity. I bought two of them to replace the two Gen 2 models I had after learning this from the manufacturer. The blue model suits me perfectly. br>br>Here's a buying tip to make sure you're getting the real deal: Ask the seller if the TheraCane you're about to buy has the THERA CANE, DENVER, COLORADO engraved stamp AND a "born on date" stamped into it to see if it's a genuine TheraCane product. It is legitimate if the answer is yes. If it doesn't, it's almost certainly a Chinese knockoff. I hope you found this information to be of assistance.

The best investment I've ever made
5/5

The treatment for the tender knots that run from the back of my head to the ends of my shoulders in my neck. I've never spent more money on Amazon than I have on this item. I'm serious. Excellent craftsmanship. It can be used on a daily basis.

An ingenious product for avoiding the use of pain relievers
5/5

I've seen firsthand how pain medications affect people as a pharmacist, so when I had back and sciatic problems, I turned to natural remedies. I didn't want to use drugs to mask the issue; instead, I wanted to address the root cause. I looked into various techniques, such as massage and stretching, and I came across a discussion about trigger points. I also bought a book called Trigger point therapy workbook, in which the Thera cane was mentioned. With nothing to lose (except possibly $29), it's a no-brainer. I decided to give the Thera cane a shot at 95 dollars. What an ingenious device! I recommend reading up on trigger points and precautions like keeping devices like the Thera cane away from the back of the knee, the femoral artery, and other veins and arteries first. You can apply direct pressure to the trigger point with the Thera Cane and hold it there, or you can press and release the trigger point with the Thera Cane. The Thera cane worked wonders for me, providing about 6 hours of relief. I've been using it for a few days and have noticed a significant improvement. Definitely a buy! I bought the Blue Thera cane, and it's the perfect strength, neither too hard nor too soft. Remember to do your research on trigger points first, and don't overdo it.
