I'm trying to get pregnant and have switched to prenatal vitamins. I usually take it with MCT oil for absorption, but I don't get the same boost from it as I do from my regular multivitamin. Women have previously told me that they take a prenatal vitamin even after childbirth to maintain the extra boost they get from it, but I don't think that's the case with this vitamin.
I liked how simple it was to just take one daily (even before eating), and I liked the vitamins so much that I purchased the 96-count - which divides the doses into three parts, requiring you to take three. This pill also has very little calcium because it is designed for absorption. As a result, you should take a calcium supplement in addition to your regular diet.
It's also worth noting that there's only one pill rather than three. These have a taste and an aftertaste that the 3 dose does not have. I can't stand taking it with water because I have to drink a lot of water to get the taste out of my mouth. I got the 90-day supply because I only had about that much time left, but after 30 to 60 days, I began to regret my laziness in refusing to take three pills because the one pill tasted so bad. New chapter, on the other hand, is one of my favorites. They are not something I would change. I started taking new chanter during my first pregnancy four years ago, thanks to my father's research, and I'm doing it again because I loved them so much. If you don't mind the taste, take one pill; if you can't, take three pills.
I've been unable to keep anything down due to hyperemesis, but I can easily split these vitamins in half and take one in the morning and one at night! I just placed a 90-day reorder for these!.
They're easy for me to swallow, and they've never given me any problems with my stomach.
They're a bit large, but unlike some other multivitamins, they don't have a strong 'vitamin' smell, which is a plus.
I made the switch from Garden of Life to New Chapter, and I'm so glad I did. I used to have problems with my vitamins getting stuck in my stomach and causing burning and discomfort, but these go down easily and are the same size as the ones I used to take. Going down slowly hasn't caused me any discomfort or problems.
I like these vitamins because they don't upset my stomach and are recommended by my doctor, but a lot of them arrive broken; this is probably the third bottle that has arrived broken.
