It is true. With a 5 I made mine There is one to one ratio between liquid and herb. You can use both filtered water and grain alcohol 190 proof with a 50/50 mixture of water and alcohol for the liquid. While the water is still cold, pour the filtered water into a pan with the powdered herb and let it sit for a few minutes. Let it sit until it cools after bringing it to a boil and covering it. After adding the alcohol, seal the jar in an appropriate sized canning jar and let sit for two weeks in a cool, dark place. The beverage is then ready to be decanted if you so desire. Although, I tend not to do so since I believe it gets more powerful with time.
I have used this method for many years and it works well. In general, I grind it a little finer in my coffee grinder and put a teaspoonful in a reusable cloth teabag before drinking it.
There were no breakdowns for me.

Based on the current flower to stem ratio, this review is being conducted. The oils I've made from it have not yet been consumed. There are at least half, if not more, of stems in the bag. Having shifted the flowers and leaves out of the vase, stem material has been collected. There are almost as many stems as there is space in the bag, as you can see in the picture.
UPDATE 5/1/2018. I have tried infused it into oils using multiple methods and am not getting any results. The tea I made was a dirty orange color because I made it on the stove. Using St. John's dried herb doesn't give you that dark red you get from high quality herbs. It's a great product, but I am extremely disappointed!.
Ninety percent of the stems come from the plants. The only flower present was a quarter piece of a leaf without any others. It is the recipient this month of my steaming heap of human excrement award. As a matter of fact, this stuff has already been washed in alcohol, so it is already prepped for use The extracted data.
Basically, the whole 1 pound bag contains someone's abandoned extraction waste. It is purely accidental that you get leaves. It has proven to be so poor a yield that pine bark would provide more benefits. I've already been through the extraction process on it. Here's the straight truth! These people are selling you garbage, they know it, and they know they're selling The fact that they know it is impossible. This is nothing more than theft, and I do not exempt it. I've bought bulk goods from other suppliers, so I am aware of what quality is.
Oh right! To prove my point, I extracted HALF THE BAG of this stuff and distilled it, then I took about a pea size amount of other dried and powdered flowers I had on hand. As you can see, one of these samples is dark red, which is what it should be, and one of these samples is barely opaque and light orange, which is why it has almost no medicinal value. * The red one is the one that I previously bought from my previous supplier, which was pre-assembled "Frontier Bulk" means that no medicinals are present in the extracted form. You can either say they are thieves or stupid, depending on which side you think.
There are too many stems, leaves and other parts next to the flowers, according to some people. Since most of a flower is stem, if you break it apart, you get pieces of stem. When it comes in the package, it is in the same proportion as I would expect flowers to be The product I've used as recommended is working well for me. Once or twice a day, take 2 tsps. My favorite part of it is the music. The most noticeable effect is that it eliminates my headaches and dampens other random pains significantly. You should use it according to the instructions. The drug is not a miracle cure for depression. This herb is a nervine, which works by relieving depression that is associated with the nervous system [anxiety and stress] when taken over a few weeks as directed. Be certain to do your research before you take herbal supplements for medicinal purposes.
Since the beginning of my online business in 2000, I have bought St. John's Wort from Frontier and been happy with it. As a tea for mild depression, it's highly effective for me. Over the past five or so years, the quality of this product has been declining. Among all the batches, this last batch had too much grass in it and consisted mostly of large stems (again, chopped up). Several times more of it is required to produce the desired effect than ten years ago. Ten years ago, their product had almost no stems and no grass in it, yet it was pretty powerful. In my order, I have decided to return the portions that are unopened. My recent search on the Internet led me to a supplier that carries this herbal product with much greater quality than Frontier ever did.
It is still cheaper to use two teaspoons per cup of this product than to buy the ridiculously expensive stuff because there are a lot of chopped up stems in it. A 3 quart jar could almost fit in the bag as an idea of volume. My plan is to buy it again if I run out.
As of now, everything seems to be going well. While the extract may be more potent for some people, this herb tastes relatively mild and is not unpleasant in any way. This herb possesses natural anti-depressant and pain-relieving properties, which are what it was originally known for (despite the fact that people typically name it for its effectiveness as a depression reliever). In the case of any serious health conditions or psychotropic medications, it's always a good idea to consult your doctor before making a change. But a naturopath or herbalist may be able to help you since most modern doctors seem unable to provide you with much information about The experts are not qualified to advise you about that, so it is important that you research yourself and start slowly. However, do what you believe is best for your mind and body as an individual. As you may not get immediate results from St. John's Wort, we suggest you seek professional help if you're seriously depressed or suicidal. As for the rest of us, this herb can alleviate stress and help you cope with pain, and lift your spirits. There is good quality in this product.
There is a sense of calm to it. I like the flavor of this. A great deal for the Initially, I was surprised that this would relieve pain, but I believe it The more relaxed one is, the less pain there is. As a standalone program, it does not work for me. It is usually mixed with other herbs, such as Lemon Grass, Lavender, Mint, or Thyme. Having got it from my elders, it's a great recipe. Add anything less than perfect and you're just feeding a 10 year old horse with 10 year old I've generally been impressed with this Saint John's Wort from this supplier. I have not tested it, but it seems to be of an excellent quality.
When I ordered this, St. Johns Wort to give to my grandmother, I also got seeds and stems Without the seeds, the seeds are called "seeds". There appears to be dirt on the floor that might be vacuumed up. There is no use to this stuff. I thought there would be powder or leaves in there. My first attempt was to put it through a pepper mill. There was no difference between the food processor and the food chopper I tried. I don't know. Except maybe for tea, I don't know what could be done with this item. My knowledge of the topic is limited. The only thing I know is that I spent close to $16 on a bag of "cut and blend" cookies There's a ton of crap that I can't return after being "sifted. ". Frontier isn't a company that I am going to use.
