Spirulina is supposed to have a bad taste, but not this one. I've used it in a variety of smoothie flavors. I can't detect any of the flavors: chocolate, vanilla, cake batter/keto, or strawberry. It also gives the smoothie (and everything that follows it) a bright green hue. Spirulina is a powerful superfood, and this particular brand is outstanding. I received the jar as a sample, but I plan to purchase it. Having said that, the product is massive and will last for a long time.

This product is so easy to use. We haven't tried baking with it yet, but we do use it in our smoothies every day. This will last a long time because we don't use much because it has such a strong flavor; however, the adults in the house use twice as much as the kids because it's too strong for them otherwise. It's extremely nutritious, and we eat it on a regular basis!.

Although it has a strong plant aroma, I only use 7 grams in my shake. It has a distinct flavor, but it isn't overpowering. Don't bother if you dislike the flavor of "green. " The container holds a significant amount of powder. When handling the powder, take care because it is very green and can stain easily.

This is an excellent product; I use it in my daily smoothies for an energy boost, and it works wonders! I have twins who can be difficult to keep track of, so I'll take any assistance I can get. My kids and husband both drink this in their smoothies, which is a testament to how good it tastes. It has a strange smell to it, but it's easily hidden in a smoothie. I also tried it straight up and it wasn't nearly as bad as I had anticipated, so I mix it with water on days when I don't have time to make a smoothie.

The flavor takes some getting used to on its own, but it was suggested to me in my conversation with the company that I start small and work my way up because the taste is as potent as it is strong. To balance it out, I add cacao and protein powder, as well as some freshly squeezed lemon or lime. At best, it's palatable when combined with H2O, but it's far from ideal. I will say that when I drank it alone with water, I immediately felt a level of clarity and boost that I hadn't felt in a long time; strangely, my eyesight was slightly clearer, and I felt more alert and oriented, which was an amazing feeling, so I will continue to use this product long-term. Spirulina Powder is one of my favorite supplements because of its potency and health benefits. All in all, an excellent product. all, especially in the midst of a global pandemic, when immune strength is critical.

And, while there are only so many things you can rate a product on (taste, smell, ability to dissolve, color, freshness, etc. ), this is the first one I've ever seen that requires a rating for "stickiness. " br>br>After about a month of using this particular brand, I noticed that a glob of it was stuck to the measuring spoon I used as a scoop every day; stuck to the bottom (right by the blades) of the blender's sides; If I tried to manually mix it in a glass with a spoon, I'd end up with a glob of it stuck somewhere on the glass, as well as a thick coating of it stuck on part of the spoon. br>br>While most of it seemed to mix well with whatever liquid I was using, I always found that it globbed up not only on the container and utensil I was using, but also on itself. Even when using a high-end mixer, for instance, I'd feel round blobs of the sticky stuff in my mouth as I tried to drink it, and I'd have to force myself to swallow it, even though it appeared to be dissolved in a high-speed blender. To keep it from globbing up, I developed a technique in which I would try to keep the blender running by holding down the "pulse" button with one hand while slowly pouring a scoopful of the stuff into the swirling liquid with the other. This gave me the best chance of it actually dissolving each day. It was a little more difficult to digest than any other spirulina I'd ever purchased. and not always successful, as I would still have globs of it in my mouth that I would have to force myself to swallow, and I would have to remind myself that it was good for me. br>br>However, the stickiness of this stuff meant that every day after making my morning drink, I had to spend extra time manually scrubbing the dark green globs that would stick to the measuring spoon; and stuck to the inside of the blender glass, right next to the blades, which would occasionally stick and stab me as I tried to get the stuff off, carefully avoiding them (I didn't want to disassemble the blender every day as part of this tedious job); and to the inside of whatever glass I tried mixing it in on that particular day, as well as the spoon I used. br>br>The substance was so sticky that getting it off the inside walls of the blender usually required multiple, repeated attempts. and, to be honest, it was sometimes impossible to get it off the measuring spoon no matter how hard I tried. I used to have to soak the spoon in a glass of water all day, then fish it out later in the day after it had loosen up a bit, clean it, and dry it so it could be used the next morning. br>br>Because of the extra time and trouble I had to go through each day, I put this one brand of spirulina on my "do not buy again" list, and it's the only one I've ever put on that list. br>br>I never would have guessed spirulina could be so sticky, or that it could glob up in liquids, even when dissolved with a high-powered blender, if I hadn't seen it firsthand. In over 50 years of using spirulina, I've never encountered another that behaved like this one, and I hope I never do again. br>br>Unfortunately, I can't recommend this one to anyone because I wouldn't want anyone else to have to spend the extra time and effort required each day to clean the sticky stuff off of anything it comes into contact with, which is like some kind of very dark green cement that won't come off. br>br>No, I'm afraid I have to issue a "do not buy" warning for this one, and I strongly advise you to avoid it.
