I hope that this is a very popular product, so that I can purchase it frequently.
There are places that recommend up to 10tbsp per day of this stuff so I figured I'd try two heaped tablespoons with some water and cherries and I just can't get past the taste. It tastes like I've been drinking unfiltered water. My teeth feel flat. I am not sure if this is normal or if too much was used. I think it would pair well with a peanut butter smoothie but needs something to mask the taste, at least for me. And I don't understand people who say the taste is neutral perhaps they used a tiny tiny bit and I overdid it by two heaping scoops of it. Without such a statement, I trust that they are referring to.
I think it's an excellent deal for the nutrition it provides. Breakfast smoothies are my favorite way to consume it. There is only one complaint I have the spoon has to be fished out as with all protein powders. The worst thing about this one is that you end up looking like Shrek with your hands. There should be a tape on the lid to hold the scoop in place.
Carlyle products have given me great results and I feel confident about their purity and potency. As a gift, the product is a bargain and I am delighted with it.
Since I began using spirulina, I have exclusively stuck to organic forms. Spirulina was quite a revelation to me, so I was a bit sceptical when I bought it. My greatest surprise was that it tastes exactly the same, as well as having the same dark green color, scent, and texture as the organic spirulina that I used to buy. I blend it with all my smoothies and juices and it comes out smooth and delicious. In other words, it's a great deal. For now, I'm only going to buy this one.
Rather than using it as a food for my living culture of daphnia and amphipods, I am using it as food to feed a living It saves me a lot of time if I simply dip an old wide mouth bottle into the aquarium, drop in the powder, and shake it for about 20 seconds at a time. This prevents the particles from clumping together. Despite the fact that it smells and tastes like an aquarium. Knowing that would be easy for me.
