In October 2020, I purchased this item. Having just used the last of a previously owned container, I just now opened the new one today, January 28th 2021. The product was supposed to weigh 2 pounds, but I paid for 3. As I removed the foil/paper seal from the container, I saw that it is only half When I weighed my container and contents on my kitchen scale, together, they weighed only 1 lb 10 oz. There are 8 ounces in each. The price is way too high.

There is no doubt that the spirulina is dark rich in color Spirulina should be dark in color (the darker, the better) if you're new to it. Each morning and evening, we use it One teaspoon in our morning smoothie and one teaspoon in the Medical Medium's Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie (search online for that recipe). There's nothing better than it! Because it is not marked as organic, I was a little concerned. But it is very fresh, made in the USA, and not sprayed with anything artificial We bought GMO for an extremely good price, so this ended up being a good value.

It is a huge plastic bottle with a very small amount of spirulina in it. In fact, I am not certain that there is enough for 2 pounds. This big bottle doesn't just eat up space in my storage unit, but it also costs extra to dispose of waste that's unfriendly to the environment. It makes me don't like to have to put my hand deep in the can to scoop the powder, as I get a lot of green powder on my hand. This is definitely not a product I recommend, and I will never buy it.

As I weighed the container, it was only about half full so I was unsure how much it contained. A weight of 791 grams or 1. 25 ounces was determined from the weight of the whole container with its contents. There are 744 pounds in it. The powder of spirulina is extremely fine, dark, and messily mixed, so I didn't dump it out to weigh the container, but it is a big, thick plastic container. In addition to the two pounds indicated in the description, my guess is that the amount of spirulina was about 1 1/2 pounds. I agree that a tall container might be appropriate if the amount was correct however, why is it so tall? You have to reach into it in order to avoid getting green knuckles and forearms.

Spirulina was prescribed to me by our veterinarian for the coughing my horse has caused. The amount she consumes per day is around 20 grams. Almost 1 week after beginning to cough, she has stopped! i am so pleased to be able to offer her such a natural product at a reasonable price.

Spurlina is a brand I have ordered previously, but not this one, and it was much richer, darker, In comparison to other brands, this one is dryer and powderier. In my experience, the capsules don't taste good when I burp them, as I'd experienced before with the previous brand. I will use this brand up, but will not purchase The amount of food is adequate for the money, but I will try another brand next time. I give it 4 out of 5 stars on both the overall and freshness factors.
