Our family never buys any food from China because no regulation or checks are conducted there to see what the actual ingredients are or if they are healthy or not. The product information section of this item doesn't say that it is a Chinese product, so we weren't aware it was created in China. When our daughter used the package a few times to make acai bowls and suffered stomach pain after consuming it each time, my husband noticed it had the tiny writing, "Product Of China", on the bottom right corner of the package.
On the same day, they delivered it again! Prior to this brand, I tried two others that I didn't like due to the taste and smell (too metallic and fishy). There is no taste or smell to this one, so I love it. In addition to smoothies and pancakes, it blends well. This is a great book to read!.
It took me until this morning, Tuesday, August 6, to use it to make a banana-berry smoothie after I received it yesterday (Monday, August 5). It was the vibrant blue color that first caught my eye as soon as I opened the package. Spirulina is a good source of protein and my health needs require the blue one. My impression of the product is that it blended well. There is no sandy or powdery taste to this ice cream. The only thing I would complain about is the size.

Blue Spirulina is ideal for those who want to consume all the bad aspects of the health food industry in one product. According to its barkers, it is a superfood, but one look at the nutritional information blows that claim out of the water. Protein makes up one gram of each serving, and everything else makes up a very small amount. A trace amount of minerals appears to be present. It really doesn't have anything special about it aside from its sky-high price. I was curious about a natural substance that looks this rich in color, but was surprised to find out that it's green spirulina processed into it. The taste is somewhat unpleasant which would be acceptable if the product had more nutritional value than what it does, but as previously noted, it doesn't. The price of this product might be an incentive for me to buy it again in $5.
The taste is also much better than other spirulinas as it has many benefits without the nasty taste. The color is fantastic, and you get a lot for your money here.
