I think that is a really good The amount of nutrients you add to the starter needs to be based on the volume and not the wort. Although some may suggest no nutrients in a starter are necessary, you can certainly add just enough nutrients to make sure your starter is not severely lacking in nutrients. Thanks so much!
In a proper refrigerator, yeast nutrient is said to remain fresh for up to 5 years. It may be of some help. There are plenty of beer advocacy blogs where you can find similar information.

Please take caution I poured one teaspoon straight into a 4 oz glass and ended up with a geyser. Combine 4 oz juice and liquify first. The wine had already been setting for two days before I added it, but even so, it is amazing. In an instant, there was a violent reaction. One teaspoon of the liquid per gallon should be poured in slowly. Having not had the chance to run any comparison or alcohol percentage tests, I can say that this is definitely effective. During fermentation, the yeast exposed the wine to more oxygen and the (normally) sweet wine changed from sweet to dry. It takes longer for the yeast to convert sugar, which means it lives longer. In other words, these things have a big impact on In my opinion, the book should have been given 5 stars, but I gave it 3 because The product came with no instructions for use (other than "1 tsp/gal"). The bag had a hole in it, so the contents spilled inside the shipping bag and on my couch after I opened it. There was an appearance of a zip-top bag I tried to unlock the bag, but it would not open and I ended up tearing it (which was not a serious issue in this case since it had been punctured already) instead. There is research that indicates that there are products that actually feed the yeast nutrients and make it stronger and help improve the flavor (this is nothing more than providing nitrogen to make the yeast survive). In the future, I intend to try a different (and more expensive) type of In spite of the limited lifespan of the yeast, this works well for the price.
Fermentation of the mash is really sped up with this stuff. 5 tablespoons of this in a 5 gallon batch will produce a finish within 3 to 4 days if they normally take a week or longer. On the surface, it almost seems as if gasoline has been sprayed. There is no discernible difference in taste between batches that contain or don't contain.
If you buy a pound of these, you'd pay the same price as I would for 2 tubes of 1-oz sellers. On a batch, I use maybe 1/4 teaspoon of this, so the bag will last me a long, long time. Great value!.
This is what I used for my first batch of Strawberry wine, and it is working out fine.
Despite the fact that they have a no returns policy, I am not able to contact them directly so I am hoping they see this and get in touch with Certain processes, for instance distillation, can cause dangerous compounds to form in foods containing urea. If these compound form, they are usually prominently labeled. The product was not labeled as containing urea and we purchased it only later to discover through independent research that this brand does indeed contain At least change the product description of this company if you can't return it. I am very surprised to be unable to return it.
I like how it works. Kombucha is carbonated in half the time when the yeast is fired up.
is obviously working when I wake up to find that my carboy has vomited, so I guess everything is going well, now I'll just keep myself from filling the primary carboys as close to the neck as I can.
There are directions on the package of this yeast nutrient, so the product works really well. You can do this with any yeast that you use in your hobby, it looks clean, tastes clean and works well.
