600 mg is what I assume it is. Two pills, equivalent to 1200 mg, are recommended for use on a daily basis.
It is now possible to purchase Red Yeast Rice in the U.S. As noted in Now Foods' website. There is a label on the bottle that reads Now Foods, 395 S. Federal Way, White Plains, NY 14417. There is a road called Glen Ellyn Road. This 60108 Made in America item is not available for purchase. There is no sugar, salt, wheat, gluten, corn, milk, egg, shellfish, or preservatives in "*br>" contains soy derivatives. Please let me know if this is of assistance.
In spite of the capsules being nearly 1" long, you can open them, then open the powder, and place it into any liquid or other vehicle for swallowing (we always put supplements into miracle applesauce for our kids).

In an effort to save money, I switched from Nature's Plus Extended Release brand to the NOW brand. The NOW brand has always seemed to be a decent one to me, but now I am not so certain. In an effort to avoid being on any more medications, I started using red yeast rice after I had high cholesterol and triglycerides in my blood test last year. Within six months of using the Nature's Plus brand, levels of both of these factors had steadily decreased. The use of that brand lasted for a while but I decided to try and save some money by using a different brand. As a user of other NOW supplements, I decided to try their RYR supplement. Unfortunately, I was shocked to find that my cholesterol and triglyceride levels had risen significantly when my 6-month follow up came When I was researching another supplement I signed up to an online "Lab for Consumers" which tests supplements, and while doing so I happened to read their reviews Here you can see that NOW did not fare well compared to my original choice and some of the other brands (I won't post those due to copyright concerns. 1) I did not expect NOW brand to fail so badly. I am switching immediately to the other brand and anticipate seeing positive results at my next checkup in November.
