Immune Modulator with a Bitter Taste
5/5

This organic Astragalus Root has a strong, bittersweet, earthy flavor that I dislike. Although the taste isn't for everyone, the benefits of this calming adaptogen far outweigh any disadvantages. For each herbal infusion or teabag, I usually use a small amount, whereas I usually use more herbal flowers and leaves. A decoction seems to work best for thick bark, bringing out the medicinal properties as it heats up. br>br>Astragalus is an adaptogen that supports the healthy function of many body systems. It helps the heart, liver, and kidneys to function properly. It supports a healthy immune system, prevents infection, and aids in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, allergies, mononucleosis, respiratory problems, and cancer. It's energizing and nourishing, and it can help with cold, stagnant states. You have weak immune function if you get sick a lot or have a lot of allergies, and astragalus can literally turn that around with regular use. Why? Astragalus is classified as an immune modulator, meaning it balances and strengthens immune system function rather than simply increasing it. down-regulation or down-regulation It is regulated. It essentially presents the immune system with a healthy threat, which prompts a response from the immune system. This enhances the function of a variety of immune cells and pathways while diverting attention away from allergies and autoimmune diseases. Immune cells that are more powerful are better at fighting true pathogens like the common cold and rogue cells that cause cancer. Medicinal mushrooms like reishi, shiitake, maitake, chaga, and turkey tails, as well as adaptogens like codonopsis, shisandra, ashwagandha, and holy basil, all have immune modulating properties. br>br>Astragalus is a valuable and possibly essential supplemental herb for the recovery and treatment of a variety of chronic illnesses. It benefits your entire body, and everyone can afford to use some preventative measures rather than just reacting when an illness strikes. br>I prefer this herb in powder form because the earthy flavor is a little too strong for me. That way, I can make capsules and take a dose every day without having to worry about the taste; the problem is, when it's blended with other herbs, its potent taste and smell usually overpowers everything else. Starting with a small dose, less than 1 tsp, is a good place to start. , for your very first cup of coffee This may assist you in acclimating to the taste and odor. br>I am a fan of Starwest's products and would recommend this Astragalus-based supplement. As long as you're aware of the strong flavor and odor. But, as I previously stated, the enormous health benefits will always outweigh any perceived drawbacks, especially if you have a chronic illness. br>Have a good day! 💛.

This was not at all what I had anticipated
4/5

The root does not come in those shavings as depicted in the illustration. As the title indicates, this is a whole root cut. The second photograph is both irrelevant and perplexing. So far, that's everything I know. I'll expand on my review once I've used it.

It wasn't exactly what I had hoped for
4/5

When deciding between products, I look at the photos that the seller and customers upload. I expected longer strands of stringy wood, but instead received tiny root cuts, very thin roots. It still works, but not in the way that was expected or shown.
