It is for a reason unknown why regular lactase pills do not work There is only Lactase derived from Aspergillus in the pill form I can locate on the market right now. It only works in an acidic environment, like those in your stomach, so that form of lactase is less costly. The thing in my stomach does not seem active, and I am not sure why. Lactase is a substance your body excretes on its own. Kluyveromyces derived alkaline active lactase works exclusively in a carton of milk. This is the only way you will be able to tell it's the Kluyveromyces derived form.
