Questions & Answers

How long does it take for Niacin to be released? Is it better to sleep for 12 hours or for 24?

The term "time release" refers to a product's gradual release of ingredients over 6 to 8 hours in order to produce a long-lasting effect.

In the 250mg time-released bottle, how much niacin is there? Is it nicotinamide, nicotinic acid, or inositol hexanicotinate that you're looking for?

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Nature's Bounty! The Nicotinic Acid in the Time Release Niacin 250 mg (B5800) is Nicotinic Acid.

Is Niacin and Vitamin B3 the same thing?

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Nature's Bounty products. Vitamin B3 and Niacin are two terms for the same thing.

In the other ingredients, what do you mean by "corn starch"? Isn't it harmful to your health in some way?

I'm not sure about the corn starch, but this stuff definitely lowered my cholesterol, and I only take one pill a day, along with Cholestoff and 1/2 cup oat bran, with a slightly-slightly-slightly-slight-slight-slight-slight-slight-slight-slight-slight-slight-slight-slight-slight-slight-slight-slight diet that has been altered Another brand gave me the worst itchy flush I'd ever had, which lasted two hours, whereas this flush isn't nearly as bad and only lasts about half an hour. After a while, I stop flushing after I start taking it on a regular basis.

Without a prescription, you can lower your bad cholesterol
5/5

My doctor told me that if my bad LdL cholesterol number remained over 200, he would put me on a prescription medicine; I didn't want to be on a prescription, so I asked him what over-the-counter supplement he recommended for lowering cholesterol. Niacin with a timed release was his recommendation. You will not be flushed if you take this medication. Before I had my blood work done, I had been on it for a few months. My low-density lipoprotein (LDL) dropped 30 points after I started taking Niacin. It's something I'd strongly advise you to try. I take mine at night, one capsule at a time, so it doesn't interfere with the other allergy supplements I take. acid indigestion From Amazon, I purchased four bottles. It will keep me going for the entire year. Kathy N. , br>Kathy N. , br>Kathy N. , br.

I had a really bad reaction
3/5

I'm sorry to write such a negative review. That was not my intention at all. It's niacin, and it should do exactly what it's supposed to. BUT. It gave me a horrible flushing reaction. Hives, burning, itching, and a headache are all symptoms of severe hives. I considered dialing 911 at some point. I understand that sensitive people react in this way, but that was a terrible reaction. The next morning, I was still hot, flushed, and had three fever blisters! Just be extremely cautious when using this. I've always taken flush-free niacin as a side note. I didn't look before ordering this. I'll order non-flushing as a result of my error. And, by the way, it has significantly reduced my cholesterol! (This is a non-flushing toilet. ).

I had no idea it was niacin that was "time released
3/5

" I wish the "date released" information was included in the product name; as of 12/22/2020, the title only reads "Nature's Bounty Niacin Pills and Supplement, Supports Nervous System and Energy Production, 250mg, 90 Capsules. " This isn't the right kind of niacin to use for lowering cholesterol, and it could harm your liver. For that, immediate release is required, and this dose would have been ideal given that so many other brands are 500mg and I have to break open the capsule and pour some out.

My duck needs your help! I rescued a helpless jumbo pekin male duck who couldn't even walk
5/5

I was unable to walk due to swollen hocks and bowed legs. He's a colossal young man! We limited his food and supplemented it with Brewer's yeast and sunflower seeds. We tried a liquid niacin supplement and saw a slight improvement, but we ran out, so I decided to give this a shot. Oh my goodness, he's getting better! I administer the entire capsule to him! In comparison to before, he stands very straight. He's also faster!.

It has the potential to harm the liver
3/5

Following extensive research from a variety of sources, it is believed that extended release Niacin can cause liver damage because the liver is overworked by having to metabolize the medicine for long periods of time. br>br>According to my understanding, the purpose of extended Niacin was to alleviate the skin flushing that immediate release Niacin causes, but it turns out that taking one aspirin 30 minutes before taking Niacin virtually eliminates the symptoms. br>br>I enjoy Nature's Bounty products, and they are not in any way defective. However, I strongly advise you to double-check everything I've written rather than taking my word for it.

I found that using 500 mg was less expensive than using 250 mg; However, it is possible that the quality is excessively high for me; As a result, I take 250 mg twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening
5/5

br>Also, because the 500mg are in capsule form, you won't be able to break most of them. It's a little more expensive than 500mg, but it's only a few dollars over the course of three months.

Examine the rash caused by niacin
3/5

This was suggested to me by my doctor. A terrible rash appeared on my body. I assumed it was because of the fish I ate until it happened again two days later. I looked it up on the internet. It is said to be safe. OK, but it appears that I have a terrible disease similar to the measles, which caused me to become dizzy to the point where I had to lie down. By the way, a Zirtec seemed to help for some reason. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with histamine blocking. But why would you want to put something in your body that harms it like this? My Niacin was thrown away immediately.

Reaction was not good
3/5

For a couple of years, I've been taking niacin from a different company with no problems. But this brand made me break out in a rash, itched my face, gave me a bad taste in my mouth, made me feel weak, and a whole bunch of other things that made my day miserable. This was terrifying because I'd never had a niacin reaction before. I'm not sure I'd buy it again, and I'm not sure I'd recommend it to anyone.
