Questions & Answers

What country did this item originate from? China? or? Is there a phone number where I can call to confirm this? Thanks?

I simply dialed their toll-free number for more information on their products. They told me that their products are bottled in the United States, but that the ingredients aren't. When I inquired about their origins, they stated that they can be imported from anywhere in the world and that they have no idea where they were originally manufactured. br>To put it another way, there is no oversight, the majority of it is most likely coming from China, and it is unquestionably unsafe. This isn't something you should buy.

The Kal 25 mg tablets have a pleasant flavor and are chewable. Is this the case with the 50 mg tablets as well?

Can we get a response from the manufacturer on whether this is nicotinic acid or niacinamide?

Thank you for shopping on Amazon! Thank you for contacting us about the Kal Niacin supplement. Niacin, in the form of Nicotinic Acid, is present in this product in the amount of 50 mg. Is it possible to split this tablet in half without breaking it?

No, they are difficult to cut because there is no line on them to snap them in half; they are also very thick, do not lay flat, and are difficult to cut evenly with a pill cutter or knife.

Flushing that is both intermittent and significant
4/5

If niacin flushing indicates efficacy, then this tablet must be effective! I haven't had my cholesterol checked since I started using this brand, so I can't comment on its effectiveness. However, I had no luck with previous non-profits. After reading that you must put up with the flushing in order to naturally lower your cholesterol, I decided to try this one. I don't flush every day, but when I do, it's pretty intense. Once a week, twice a week, and once a month, respectively. I'll continue to use it at least until my next physical, and hopefully longer if I get a good report.

It has been shown to lower cholesterol levels
5/5

Diabetes was discovered in our 11-year-old Silky Terrier last year. He is extremely frail. Weight: 13 lbs He wasn't even close to being fat. He has never been sick in his life and is on 7 units of vetsuline twice a day. His glucose levels fluctuate slightly on some days before returning to normal. Also, his cholesterol shot up to 541 and his Triglycerides shot up to 3680 in less than two months. They were already elevated in the 1000s due to his diabetes, according to the vet, but the fact that they went up this high so quickly was shocking. As a result, I chose to use this product in conjunction with Krill Oil 500. Following some research, I came up with a dosage of 1000mg. I discussed it with my veterinarian, who had never seen a dog with diabetes and high cholesterol at the same time, and I now give our dog 50mg Niacin in the morning and 50mg Niacin at night, as well as 500mg Krill oil in the morning and night. I gave him a half-dose of 50/500 on some days, but most days I gave him the full dose in the morning and evening. So far, everything has gone well. His Glucose is now stable at 120, and his Cholesterol has dropped to 373 and his Triglycerides have dropped to 1491 after a month of taking Niacin and Krill oil. His diet remained unchanged. Everything appears to be identical. His readings improved significantly as a result of the Niacin and Krill Oil. I'm hoping for a further decrease.

Not bad

I take these for seasonal depression, but I've noticed that they irritate my stomach a little, so if you have reflux, take them on an empty stomach.

Worth it
5/5

This is true niacin, and it can cause a slight flush in some people. That's crucial, because you already know it's working. It's only necessary to do this once a day. This is a fantastic product that deserves a five-star rating.

Some Flushing is in order
4/5

I'm taking niacin to help me lower my cholesterol levels. I'm not going to take cholesterol medication because it's too risky, so I'm hoping that niacin will help me lower my numbers. br>br>Until I get my bloodwork done, which I plan to do in the next few months, I won't know if it works. In the meantime, I'll be taking this supplement on a regular basis. br>br>However, I regret to inform you that this supplement does cause flushing. I can cut down on some of it if I take it with food. However, flushing is almost certain to occur.

Size is more compact I didn't want to lose the "flushing niacin" effect because I take it to help lower cholesterol (LDL), and I figured that maybe people were bothered by the flushing because the pills dosage was 500mg! Well, I discovered that when I took 100, I didn't flush at all, but when I took another 100 later that day, I flushed for 30-45 minutes
4/5

- 45 min. When I'm at home, who cares? It's for our own good, and the modified version might not be as good as the original. It was my decision, and I'm looking forward to the lipid panel test I'll be receiving in about a month. The KAL brand is a good product that isn't crammed with unnecessary ingredients. NOT AT ALL SYNTHETIC!.

It was necessary to obtain an extension of release
3/5

When I tried to give these to my husband for his high cholesterol, he became flushed and broke out in a hot, red rash that covered his neck, face, and shoulders. We've read that this happens to some people, and that those who experience it should take Niacin with an extended release.

Not up to par with other brands
4/5

This brand seems weak to me when compared to others I've tried with the same milligram count. I'm not sure I'd order Tia brand in the future.
