Is it "sustained release" or "extended release" that you're looking for? It is significant because one causes liver damage while the other does not. I'm not sure which one because "controlled" isn't specific. ?

Extreme flushing with the new bottle- there was no control over the release For the previous two months, I had been taking this company's earlier Niacin CRT (in a plastic bottle) with no flushing issues

I've had extreme flushing on my face and forearms twice now as a result of the new bottle I just got (in the glass container). The controlled-substances clause was left out. In the bottle I received, there was a release element! If I had taken regular release (immediate release) niacin, the flushing would have happened around the same time. I doubt I would have developed an intolerance to this dose in the last two days, so I believe it is due to the way the product was formulated, implying that the company's quality control was lacking.

It works well, and the pills aren't too large, making them easier to swallow for me. Because I am unable to take statins, a physician friend of mine suggested these. They have, in my opinion.

It's true that you must exercise caution. If you don't eat enough, you'll flush. My doctor advised that I eat dinner first, then take the pill, and then eat some more. If I don't, I'll react in 15 minutes.

It was expected that the product would not require flushing; In my case, however, this is not the case. My face and eyelids turn red, irritate, and itch within minutes; It's an uneasy sensation.
