Because of the reviews, I was a little concerned because I have sensitive eyes. It was unnecessary for me to worry. I have not had any issues with the solution harming my eyes and it works very well on cleaning my lenses. Previous to this, I was using an even more expensive version of Pure Moist. Attempting to order this one without paying attention to the name difference led to an error. That's what I wanted to do. I have always used this particular product for my contacts since I started keeping track of them. I'm very disappointed to report that I too have suffered from a quasi-serious condition I had a reaction to this product. My story is as follows My blurry, bloodshot eyes are caused by using the solution in conjunction with Clear Care only as a rinse agent. If I try to use it to clean the contacts or store them overnight, I will get bloodshot, painful eyes that feel like there are eyelashes stuck under the lenses. Whenever I take off my contacts after a day of wearing them, it takes me two days before I can put them back in. First I thought that maybe there was a bacteria in my old lens case, so I changed it out and started fresh with a new I am having the same The rinse agent became my regular rinse agent for a while (I like to have some liquid in my lenses when I put them in after clearing them), but one day, I forgot to clear my lenses after putting them in Clear Care before I took them out for a nap. I woke up and put the contacts which had been soaking in the Optifree into my eye and less than 30 minutes later, there was a bloodshot reaction. A few hours later, I took them out and now am experiencing symptoms of an eye infection. The case is brand new and unused. A call to the company was never returned.

The product should be used with care. I developed red eyes after using it for some time. I loved how refreshing it felt at first--but, soon I began to develop red eyes. When I saw an eye doctor, he told me that I needed to stop wearing contacts until they healed - but I still have them. It took me a month to get cured of my leprosy. I had to wear drops as well as my glasses. When I switched back to wearing contacts, it started happening again - horrible red eyes within three days After returning to the doctor, he told me maybe the lenses would have to come off The effects of this were devastating to me Having to wear glasses gives me headaches and I can't see as clearly as I used to As I had presbyopia, I found that I was not being careful enough to change or clean my lenses, so I did not want to wear daily contacts as my multifocal dailies was not strong enough for my presbyopia. As I expressed my frustration and helplessness at what should have been done and what could have happened suddenly, I had a conversation with the supplier A few months later, Opti Free Solution came up in conversation, and she said I know a lot of people have complained about it, so shut it down Instead of the store brand I previously used, I shifted to the regular store brand and it worked fine!.
My doctor explained to me that while all solutions work the same way, this one will allow for extended wear and cleaning, both of which should benefit my skin.
