I am unsure how it would work in terms of If you don't get an answer here, ask in the eye department at any of the chain stores.
Earlier this year, since I had scleral lenses due to Sjögren's Syndrome and Keratoconus, I was prescribed scleral lenses. It was given to me in this large cup for inserting, and another smaller cup for removing it. When it won't come out, I just squeeze it, it lets go, and I try again. I prefer to use this one since if the lens won't come out, I can squeeze it and it will come out this time. As for the other tool, it just doesn't let go and I feel that my eye is going to come out with it as I try to remove it from the lens. The extras I have ordered over the years can't be replaced. The contact inserter below allows you to enter contact information. Sadly, I am having an issue with this product. This item is bleeding orange There is too much solution in the container when I insert the lens. As if tears are draining from your eyes, the extra drains as well. It looks as if I am going to cry orange tears whenever I use this orange inserter. In my photo you can see a clean q-tip Place a W beside a tip With the tip of my finger, I caught the tears. You should be able to see orange tears.
This is my third eye implant, and I'm very happy to have it go in smoothly with no problem. There are two of them in my shopping cart.
Although it was against all better judgment, I still used the full sclera Halloween contact and it basically suctioned itself to my eye and I couldn't remove it. The way this is worded is excellent - My vision was saved because my made was free of rough edges.
Is designed to allow my dad to clean his prosthetic eye when he removes it. At 88 years old, he can no longer use a fingernail to pull his eye open. He is able to remove much more easily due to this.
There is no way to remove scleral lesions (hole in center) nor is there anything that can be done to help insert. One of the center holes does not extend through the hole completely.
Sclerals are easy to insert with little practice, and this device is extremely helpful in doing so. It is important to include DMV in your selection of scleral lens tools they have been around for decades and produce reliable.
