This item has been ordered by me. I've never received one that was out of date.
The Life Shake Soy Protein, 30 Servings is a proprietary blend (they won't say what percentage of each) of Soy Concentrate Protein (1) and Soy Isolate Protein (2), according to the Shaklee Product Representative we spoke with. Unfortunately, nutritional supplement manufacturers are all too familiar with this lack of transparency.
Although there is no added sugar, I'm sure the natural sugars are taken into account.
I thought it said Stevia at one point, but Natural Cane Sugar is listed as the fourth or fifth ingredient on my package. To be honest, the product is a little too sweet for me; instead of adding fruit to my shakes, I use peanut butter powder and oatmeal to cut down on the sweetness. as well as the fact that it will remain in my mind. (Otherwise, I won't be able to use it as a meal substitute.) I become overly hungry.

Is the best you can get.
I don't get hungry because of it.
Awesome.
Flavor.
I've been using it for three months and am very pleased with the results. I use the vanilla, and I wish the stevia wasn't included. In my blender, I combine peanut butter powder (2 TBS) and old fashioned oatmeal (1/4 cup) to reduce the sweetness. Otherwise, I find it too sweet. To make it a "treat" or frozen fruit, I've added 2 TBS of unsweetened cocoa powder and skipped the PB Powder. My energy level has increased, I no longer nap during the day, and I've lost 8 pounds by drinking this mixture twice a day. My desire for carbohydrates and sugar has significantly decreased. I also skipped the PB powder and replaced it with 1/2 cup pumpkin and cinnamon, which turned out to be a delicious snack. After lunch, I don't feel as exhausted as I used to. I wish I'd started doing this a long time ago.
Awful taste, lumpy, difficult to drink due to taste, and very chalky.
