Questions & Answers
It all depends on the amount of shake you put in. I use a good sized scoopful (the scoop is included in the canister) and one canister lasts about a month.
I don't have a strawberry Spirutein container, but I've tried almost every Spirutein variety, and I usually go with the 2. x pound varieties contain at least 30 servings (I've seen 30-pound varieties). Depending on the flavor, there could be up to 34 servings. The weight/grams of each serving/scoop varies, but most are between 29 and 35. Each scoop weighs 32 grams. The scoops for the Cookies n Cream, Vanilla, Chocolate, Peanut Butter, and Sport varieties are all the same size, based on what I've seen; however, because I don't have the empty container, it's difficult to provide you with specifics. However, a general rule of thumb is 30 servings per 2 pound container, with each serving scoop weighing approximately 30 grams.
I'm not sure about gluten-free, but if you're familiar with the various ways gluten can be listed as an ingredient, you'll know what I'm talking about. Each flavor's product label is available on the manufacturer's website, and you can examine it separately. http: //www. plusnature. com

My wife had taken pleasure in her Vanilla Spiru- Tein has been blending frozen berries nearly every morning for the past ten years. The equation has now been altered. It has a distinct appearance and consistency, but most importantly, it has a distinct flavor. It's too sweet and has a lingering bad aftertaste, making it undrinkable when combined with the strange new consistency. Please note that this is NOT the Spiru-Spiru-Spiru-Spiru-Spiru-Spir It's the NEW gross version of the Tein you used to enjoy.
Nothing we mix it with is strong enough to mask the flavor. There's also a difference in texture. It's odd that the new formula didn't have a label to describe it. I won't be buying anything else.
I wish they had stated that the formula had changed. The powder has a different texture and smell, has a few more calories, and has an aftertaste now that it is labeled "with methylcobalamin. ".
6 strawberries and a mixture of lactose-free and lactose-containing dairy products Nonfat milk is free, as is soy milk that isn't sweetened. It has always been a favorite of mine, and I have it on my'subscribe' list. 'Save your Amazon order' I was concerned about the strange smell and different (finer) consistency of the newest can when I opened it today. Then I poured it into a glass and took a sip - ugh! Awful! Why would Nature's Plus change the formula and not even mark the product as "New Formula"? It has a very different, "fake" flavor and a horrible aftertaste. What is the best way to reintroduce the old formula? What a dreadful shock for the elderly. subscribers for a set period of time I was relieved to find other people complaining about the same issue on Amazon - At the very least, I know it isn't me who is losing my marbles.
For the past 18 years, I've been drinking this exact protein shake. I recently purchased this and immediately recognized that something was wrong based on the smell and appearance of the powder. The formula for Spirutein has obviously been altered. The nutritional facts and statistics are different, as are the ingredients. The odor and flavor are both revolting. After only trying one protein shake made with this, I'm returning it. I was barely able to scribble it; I couldn't stand it. Spirutein, please return! Why mess with something that has worked well for so long?.
This is a follow-up to my previous post, which can be found at the bottom of this page. Following my complaints about the changes in taste, texture, and ingredients, the company responded with a letter explaining how they had resolved the issue and including two cans of the new/old Spirutein vanilla. I was hesitant to try it again, but it's back to the protein powder I'd been using for years! So, despite the fact that the ingredients on the label are identical to the batch that tasted bad, I'm back to my morning smoothie routine. I'm just curious if any of the faulty batches are still on store shelves, and if so, which ones will be shipped. I appreciate the company taking the time to listen to customer feedback and going above and beyond to bring this product back to its former glory. br>PRIOR POSTbr>I've been using this product for almost two decades. However, due to changes in the ingredients, I was only able to drink a few sips. It tastes like artificial sweeteners have been added. The consistency was also dissimilar. I inhaled the dust-like cloud of powder because it was so light! br>This is the first time I'm returning it.
This product is available in two different formulations. The original formula is 99 calories and the new formula is 110 calories, so that's a quick way to tell. I received the new formula, and I am not a fan of it. It isn't bad, but it isn't great either. It's gritty and smells strongly of vanilla. It just doesn't hold a candle to the original. I would have given it 5 stars if I had received the original formula. If Nature'sPlus's plan is to replace the original formula, I'll be looking for an alternative to this product in the future.
I opened the 4 pound canister and immediately noticed the strong FAKE Vanilla smell (as did my husband who was on the other side of the kitchen), the texture is completely different, almost corn starch consistency, and the taste was horrible. It has the flavor of fake sugar. When I compared this canister to my previous one, I noticed that the following ingredients had been added: 'Oligofructose, fructooligosaccharides, natural flavors (vanilla). (which, according to what I've read, may be beneficial to gut health but isn't worth the loss of taste. ) I can take care of my gut without the fake sugar, and as I write this, the closed canister is next to me, emitting an offensive fake sugar odor. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF NATURES PLUS? WHY? This isn't a good formula! In fact, it's revolting. My Spirutein shakes were delicious. For many years, I eagerly anticipated them every day. I'm afraid I won't be able to reorder this. I'm thinking of going on a hunt through some health food stores to see if they still have the old formula on the shelves, then buying them and spending a fortune. This is a terrible situation. I sincerely hope that the company responds to all of the negative feedback and returns to the original formula. They'll lose me, just as they've lost so many other loyal customers.
