Questions & Answers

Is it the same as the Japanese version in terms of functionality?

I'm not familiar with the "Japanese" version, but this is a nice product; what I like about it is the hydration/moisture level, as well as the fact that it doesn't stick to teeth or travel inside the mouth. Yuk, lol. So, yes, I highly recommend this product; I use it frequently, and having two of them, one to take with me on the road and one at home, is ideal. Enjoy. michelle says:

Is there a distinct flavor to this?

There was no taste that I could detect. I use it every night because it's very creamy. It appears to be very moisturizing to the lips.

Is this a cruelty-free environment?

DHC USA Inc. is a privately held corporation based in the United States It never tests its products on animals, nor does it ask others to do so for it. In addition, our parent and founding company, DHC Corporation of Japan, never tests its products on animals or asks others to do so on its behalf. DHC, on the other hand, has grown into a global brand with subsidiaries in countries around the world, including China, where animal testing is still required by law. As a result, in order to comply with local laws, the DHC affiliate in China is required to conduct some animal testing on some of the products offered in the country. DHC Corporation and its affiliates strongly oppose China's stance on animal testing and back international efforts to persuade China that animal testing is unnecessary. To ensure that products are safe, alternative testing methods are available for free.

Is there a scent to this product?

That is an excellent question. There is no added fragrance to the DHC Lip Cream.

Be wary of products that are not genuine
3/5

Lip balm is usually my go-to. I've placed an order for a two-bedroom apartment. This is the second time I've ordered a pack from Amazon. My first order was satisfactory, but the lip balm I received in my most recent order appeared to be a forgery. I've included images of a good tube (packaged in the United States) and a bad tube (packaged in Japan). Here's what to look for if you suspect you've received a counterfeit lip balm:

- The product does not completely fill the tube's diameter (a gap exists between the tube and the product)br>- Rather than working smoothly, the twist up mechanism works in a rough manner. br>- When standing up, the tube wobbles (it isn't flat on the bottom)br>- There are bubbles in the lettering on the tube.

It's not DHC, but fake vaseline
3/5

This product smells and feels nothing like the actual DHC brand; it's clearly a knockoff (I'm not sure what the ingredients are), and I paid full price for it. I'm angry at Amazon for allowing scams like this to take place in their community.

You'd be better off with something from the drugstore, believe me - Burt's
3/5

It is not at all worth the money. I'm a total lip gloss junkie who is attempting to kick the habit. I decided to give it a shot after reading the reviews. br>Believe me when I say that something from the drugstore is preferable - Something from Burt's Bees or EOS. This product does not feel or moisturize as well as it should for such a high price!.

DO NOT BUY THIS FAKE ONE, IT IS NOT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR
3/5

br>2. Surprisingly difficult to openbr> The size of the cream body did not match the diameter of the tube when it arrived.
3. The tube does not rotate smoothly either.
4. The texture and scent are not the same as genuine lip cream. It's not very smooth. Certainly not of the same caliber as the ones I purchased from the DHC store. Please do not let Amazon's reputation be tarnished by the fake product. You never knew how this phony one would affect customers or even cause some pregnancies. Please take responsibility for your actions.

For severely dry lips, this is the best product on the market
5/5

My lips are extremely chapped and dry. This was not always the case, and it began about six months ago. I'm not talking about a little parched - I'm talking about completely parched. I'm referring to the Sahara Desert in the middle of summer, when it's scorching hot and cracking. I experimented with everything from drinking more water to using six or seven different lip balms. I've been using Eos for a few months now, and it's been beneficial but not healing. After reading the reviews, I decided to order this product because of the lanolin content. Dr. Lipp is also a good option for lanolin, but it's twice the price and much more sticky and thick. br>br>I've been using it for four days now, both before bed and during the day, and the difference is amazing. The balm is soft and smooth, with an icky taste to it. It doesn't travel as far into my mouth as some others have, and it stays on my lips for a long time. My lips aren't peeling anymore, and for the first time in six months, they appear plump and pink like they used to. I have not made any dietary or water-drinking changes, so I am confident that this is due to the effect of this product; I HIGHLY recommend it and will be stockpiling it. This product was purchased with my own money and I was not compensated for my review.

FINALLY, something that has an impact
5/5

Winter is the worst season for me and my lips. I constantly chew and bite at my chapped lips. I have 20 different chapsticks (one in each purse, coat, desk, bedside, and room). ) and I've been using them for temporary relief all day. I've tried dozens of brands and formulas, and none of them have left a lasting impression on me; I simply lick them off and move on. On some days, it's so bad that they bleed. br>br>I heard about Dr. Lipp's nipple cream and wanted to try it, but carrying a bottle labeled "nipple cream" and applying it to my lips seemed way too strange. As a result of the high lanolin content, I came across this cream. br>br>It's been about a week, and I've noticed some progress. This is a very thick substance. I don't lick it off my lips because I have to apply it less frequently and because the thickness and taste are a little strange. br>br>The scent is strange, like a combination of hay and pear. It's difficult for me to put into words. br>br>All I know is that it outlasts, feels better, and accomplishes more than any other product I've tried, including medicated Blistex, vaseline, Chapstick, Burt's Bees, Neosporin's overnight repair, EOS, and a slew of others. br>br>If the impact continues, they've got a very loyal customer in me!.

I was skeptical at first, but now I'm sold! Despite my reservations about the product due to the lack of reviews on Amazon, I decided to give it a try after seeing it featured on a few different beauty blogs
5/5

I had recently relocated to a cold-weather/arid-climate state and was sick of showing up to work with chapped, dry lips and watching my lipstick flake off throughout the day. I was completely taken aback by the first application. It felt as if it were coating my lips in velvety softness right away. It was thick and protective, but not in a greasy, vaseline-like way. I've noticed a significant reduction in chapping, dryness, and cracking since I started using it over a month ago. This is the first lip product I've tried that actually feels like it's healing my lips rather than just masking them. In fact, after the first three weeks of daily use, I noticed that I wasn't using it as much throughout the day. I now use it twice a day, once in the morning before applying any lip color and again right before bed. br>br> I've tried a lot of different lip products over the years, and I believe DHC will win me over. But I don't think I'll need it for a long time; the two-pack allows me to keep one near my bedside and the other in my purse, and I think it'll last me the entire year now that I'm using it less frequently. Allow yourself to be surprised by the cost. Again, you get two, and I've seen lip treatment options for only $18 at Sephora and other places, so I believe this has been a worthwhile investment in my lips for the year. br>br>As for the smell reviews, I don't notice any.
