There is no case made of plastic. The package is made of cardboard. Instead of carrying a plastic container, I travel with the same box. The plastic containers aren't my favorite because any moisture trapped inside will dissolve the Alum. The Osma bloc is great because it dissolves evenly and lasts for a long time.

Instead, I got a package from Dr. Sharp Barber Alum. I also attached a photo. It also took over a month to get here, so it must have been shipped across the Pacific by sampan. Purchase your Osma from a different source.
I am a DE shaver who has used these since I was taught how to shave. I have tried many other products but none compare to the Bloc Osma brand. This is my go-to alum stone and I would highly recommend it if you enjoy adding Alum to your shaving routine.
Bloc Osma is my favorite alum, and this is specifically advertised as such. This is a very inexpensive alum block from the 7126 company. It's of poor quality, and when I unwrapped the plastic (there's no box), a large corner of one block crumbled and fell apart. This is complete and total deception. This seller should not be purchased from.
Other alum blocks I've tried aren't nearly as nice as the Bloc Osma. It has a much smoother surface finish. Rather than being a collection of small crystals bonded together, the block appears to be a solid piece. It glides across my skin with ease. I was surprised by the small size of the blocks, but I believe they will last a long time.
After shaving my head, I apply these to the rest of my head. I would buy them again and recommend them because they seem to keep my head from getting greasy for a few hours.
Checking the condition of your skin after shaving is a good idea. It does not easily deform in shape when exposed to water, unlike other similar products.
I use it as a deodorant and find it to be effective.
For the past eight years, I've been using these alum blocks. Every time I shave, I rub them on my face, which helps to clear up any minor nicks.
