When I buy toothpaste, I make sure there is no peroxide in it. Some toothpastes with peroxide have burned my gums and cheeks. As well as myself, other people's mouths are usually also irritated by this. Arm and Hammer baking soda toothpaste is good, but my mouth gets irritated when they use peroxide or I get an itching sensation. Even though it does not include peroxide, Tom's toothpaste appears to whiten when used as directed.

The lather on Tom's toothpaste is not as heavy. My favorite part of this toothpaste is the mild mint flavor.
