It appears that keeping your toothbrush in this manner is a good idea. Taking toothpaste on the road or keeping it at home is a good idea. When I'm not using my toothbrush, The lid on the toothpaste container will not close. I use a regular, old-fashioned toothbrush, nothing fancy. My toothpaste comes in a standard size tube. The lid would not close on the tube because it was shaped like a tube. Another issue I've discovered is that the case has no air hole(s) through which any air can enter, allowing your toothbrush to stay damp or wet. Bacteria or mold growing on a toothbrush could be a good scenario, in my opinion. I purchased two of these. I'm not sure why I bought them.
Because of the high quality, I'd give it four stars. However, due to its large size, it is far too large to travel with. It's bulky, so it's not something you'd want to tuck into a corner of your suitcase or cram into a small compartment. I wish it was half the size; however, because of the size, it does have a bottom compartment that can be used as a cup; But having it compact for travel is more important to me.
Almost everything in this appeals to me. I gave it four stars because I wished it was more stable when standing. I hand wash it because it pops apart into three pieces and is of surprising good quality for the price.
