There are no parabens, chemicals, or additives in this product. We are unable to prescribe it for use on the skin due to USFDA regulations. However, we can guarantee its quality to you. br>We hope that our response has been of assistance to you. Bulk Herbs India's MJ is the author of this article.

What's the deal with your powder being so brightly colored? Is the final powder colored artificially? The majority of natural henna powders range in color from yellow to brown. ?

I've only ever used green henna powder in my life.

My hair is a deep shade of blue-black. This is something I'm going to use on my hair. Is it going to lighten or darken my hair color?

Henna, in my opinion, will not lighten the color of blue black hair. After a seven-hour application of henna, my medium brown hair turned auburn. Henna is naturally red when it contains no other color pigments. There is pigmented henna on the market, but its quality is unknown.

Is there a set of instructions included?

Yes. Furthermore, it is simple to use.

Henna, you're amazing
5/5

My hair turned out to be a gorgeous deep fiery orange thanks to this product. If you're used to Lush's henna blocks, powdered henna is a lot easier to work with. Lush's henna, on the other hand, smells much better in your hair. Every time I get my hair wet with this henna, it smells like a clogged drain. Perhaps that's just the smell of "pure" henna? You won't notice the smell as long as you use some sort of perfume, whether it's a hair product or a body perfume/cologne. br>br>Here's a guide to henna preparation and application. br>br>- Henna should be measured out into a *GLASS* container (other containers will stain, and metal isn't good for henna). I weighed out 50 grams of henna because I have short hair. It had been sufficient. I'd say 100 grams for shoulder-length hair, 150 grams for chest-length hair, and so on. br>- Next, slowly pour in some really warm/hot (120°f MAX) water, about the temperature that water comes out of your sink at full heat; use a thermometer to double-check.
- Stir the mixture as you go to get rid of any clumps and make sure it's the right consistency.
- Cover the mixture with plastic wrap after adding enough water and stirring to make a thick, creamy paste (similar to yogurt or toothpaste consistency). A rubber band can be used to keep it in place. br>- Allow for at least an hour of rest before using the mixture.
- After about an hour, the mixture will have turned a bright reddish brown color. That's the dye that's been released, and you're ready to use it!
- Use gloves, a towel/cape, Vaseline around the hairline to prevent skin stains, paper towels/etc on hand to clean up spills before they stain, and stand somewhere you can easily clean up (shower/tub/etc) or apply outside. br>- After your hair has been fully saturated with the henna mixture, wipe away as much of the henna as possible from any parts of your face that you don't want to turn orange.
- Then wrap your hair as tightly as possible in plastic wrap, making sure to cover all parts to lock in moisture and heat (both of which are necessary for a successful dying process!).
- To keep everything contained, I'd add a plastic shopping bag on top of the plastic wrap.
- Keep the henna on your hair for two hours, then cover your pillow/sleeping area with a large black towel and go to sleep looking like a mummy. I've discovered that leaving it on for 8 hours produces the best results.
- After you've let it sit in your hair for a while, go shower/wash it out! SHAMPOO IS EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY TO HELP LOSE IT FROM YOUR HAIR, USE CONDITIONER. Be gentle so you don't splatter henna bits all over your shower, and you'll have fewer messes to clean up later!
- Take pleasure in your new locks.

Not at all natural! Beware
3/5

Although the seller claims to be USDA organic, I was unable to obtain a USDA organic certification after checking and speaking with them. Check the USDA organic database before buying this dubious product; I've heard that henna plants are sprayed with pesticides.

Hair and scalp benefit greatly from this product
5/5

This was used to keep my scalp moisturized. I didn't think it would make much of a difference because my hair is already red. My hair turned a brighter red as a result of it.

To make it more auburn, I used instant coffee
5/5

This product appealed to me because it claimed to be all-natural. I couldn't tell the difference between this Henna and others I've tried. I also use my immersion blender to combine it with the coffee and hot water, and I find that my hair absorbs it better.

I'm really enjoying it
5/5

Beautiful result, and I like how the paste you make is a lovely green color. Make sure to cover everything or you'll end up with spots; it takes a few washes to get it completely out.

Henna should not be purchased on Amazon
3/5

I've previously purchased henna on Amazon, but it appears that even previously trusted vendors have changed their standards; I can't find a single henna seller who does not have a smattering of alarming reviews scattered throughout a cluster of non-reliable sellers. Positive feedback from native English speakers. br>br>This one mentions indigo in one sentence on the back, but it is not listed in the ingredients online or on the package. br>br>The mention of indigo appeared to be more in the context of the company as a whole, as if it were a general warning about their products: 'Is it possible that they sell indigo separately?' ' I pondered. br>br>I had a lot of henna staining. I left the paste on for several hours before removing it. When I peeled off the paste, I was left with a deep vibrant orange that developed into a super super dark brown over the next 48 hours. I was blown away by it. To be honest, it was almost black, but it was still clearly warm tones rather than indigo cool tones. br>br>I was extremely pleased. to begin with br>br>Then, instead of fading naturally, the stain, not the paste, I REPEAT the stain, began to flake off my hand. Any parts that did fade, on the other hand, began to leave a blue tint on my hands. Indigo is only mentioned in one obscure and difficult to find sentence, which is strange. Then my hands started itching, which was never listed as an ingredient in this specific product. br>br>Then my hands started itching, which was never listed as an ingredient in this specific product. I'm not sure what's in this product; despite the later blue hue, I don't think it's indigo because it has other characteristics of a henna paste containing indigo, and nothing else besides the end reaction indicated any indigo presence. In fact, I'm not sure what chemical or powder would start out brown on the skin but end up with a blueish tint when it reacts. br>br>Even more frightening is the fact that I will never know. My fingers were irritated even after I was able to remove any remaining stain, and they remained red for a month before fully "healing. " Even though I no longer have any known side effects, the fact that I have no idea what I put on my skin causes me to be concerned for the rest of my life. br>br>I would never trust another Amazon seller. If you live in an area where henna is difficult to come by, it's a bummer, but you should really look for another option because Amazon is no longer a reliable source for this type of product.
