It took a little while to get this, maybe a few weeks, but the company kept in touch with me throughout. My imprint was poor at first. I was to blame; I followed the directions but didn't bite down hard enough. I sent them a photo, and they evaluated it. They provided me with a new kit at no cost to me. The price then went up because I wanted a thin hard guard, but I was fine with it because it was only $20 more. I suffer from grinding and clenching, and my boyfriend's obnoxious puppy ate my retainer right smack dab in the pandemic right off my bedside table - it was still half or a third of what the dentist charges, and it's nearly impossible to find a dentist during covid. This company and guard had good reviews, so I went for it because I've been under some stress and my clenching has been getting worse recently, and I knew I wouldn't be able to get to the dentist. I chose the 1mm thin hard guard on my bottom teeth, which is just as good as the $300 guard I got from my dentist. It's very tight, but it fits perfectly. The orange color of the container is appealing. I'm very pleased with this guard; it's like having a dental insurance policy.
I'm very happy with how everything turned out. Erin was extremely helpful throughout the process. I realized I needed a tougher night guard after receiving the kit (I only saw this Soft type and didn't realize they offered four types, so check out the other options if you haven't already), so I contacted them and asked how to upgrade. Erin responded right away, saying that I only needed to pay the difference later. As a result, I went ahead and made my mark. I emailed them a photo (as instructed and required), and they informed me that I hadn't pressed it in hard enough for them to make a mould. They immediately sent out a new putty set, and I was successful on the second try. It took a week for the night guard to arrive. It was a perfect fit, and the quality appeared to be on par with what you'd get from a dental office, as they provide for real dental offices. br>br>I'm in my first week of wearing the night guard; it felt strange at first, and my teeth felt "sensitive" the next morning, but after a few more nights, it no longer bothers me, and the morning sensitivity has diminished. I was wearing those toss-away Placker over-the-counter night guards, and it was CAUSING toothache ache at the point of contact, to the point where I couldn't chew on that side. Once I stopped wearing them, the pain went away.
I ordered from Encore and received my kit in a timely manner. Because the two template sizes were too large, I emailed Encore and received a response the next day! They sent me a new one right away, along with some new putty. I chose the soft mouth guard, and it's about what I expected. br>br>The process was super easy, fast, and about a third of what I paid a couple of years ago to my dentist. The company also emailed me when they received the impression and when they sent out the new guard. br>br>I chose the soft mouth guard, and it's about what I expected. br>br>I chose the soft mouth guard, and it's about what I expected It's a little thinner than the one my dentist gave me, but that's something I like. br>br>The mouth guard fit perfectly right out of the box, though it did come with a warning that it might be a little tight for the first few days. I'm very happy with my purchase and will order from you again in the future. These days, excellent communication and customer service are hard to come by. Great product and company!.
This company provides excellent service. It's their second time providing me with a night guard. I needed a second because I needed dental work to correct wear on my teeth caused by grinding. The first guard I received was Medium Wear, which is a rigid guard that took a few nights to get used to. If you're using one for the first time, you'll have a hard time sleeping the first night. lol. Anyway, if you're anything like me, you'll get used to it quickly. If you can determine you are a light grinder, this is the guard for you, very stream lined in your mouth (medium guard is slightly bulkier - medium guard is slightly bulkier - medium guard is slightly bulkier - medium guard is slightly bulkier - medium guard is slightly bulkier - medium guard is slightly bulkier - medium guard is slightly bulkier - medium guard is slightly bulkier - medium guard is slightly bulkier - medium guard is slightly bulkier - medium guard is slightly bulkier more protection) and it's nice and soft while still providing adequate defense. If you're a light grinder, that is. Overall, these guards might be a little expensive than some on the internet, but 100% it is 100% worth it. br>br>A word of caution. When you're ready to make a dental mold. Prepare everything, read the instructions, and practice inserting and removing the guard from your mouth. Make use of a timer to help you stay on track. You'll have enough time to put the putty in the tray and then carefully insert it into your mouth if you mix it quickly but correctly.
I'm still blown away by the procedure. They also have combo guard sets available for purchase on their website, which will save you a lot of money. My guards fit perfectly, and I'm glad I took the time to look for a less expensive alternative that's just as good as the one I'd have gotten at the dentist's office. The impression process is fairly simple; just follow the instructions as closely as possible and you should have a perfect impression.
I was concerned that the mold-making process would be difficult and "picky. " I, on the other hand, breezed through the procedure and received my new mouthguard in record time! The only issue was deciding which type to order (the hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard, hard soft or one that is soft). I went with the soft one, which is a lot thinner than I expected. Before ordering, I would have preferred a more detailed written description of the different types of mouth guards. I wish I had called them to have a more in-depth conversation about it! I'm hoping this will keep my teeth safe for a while.
