My third OTC mouth guard has been bit through in less than a week. It costs close to $500 for a mouth guard to be covered by my insurance. After learning that I cannot obtain one, I ordered this. The mold kit arrived within a couple of days, the instructions were easy to follow, and the mold hardened as expected. Getting the mold off my teeth proved to be tricky, but it could be accomplished by wiggling the mold until it came off. In addition to the mold, I sent them the additional order paper they sent me. By paying $30, they will keep your mold for up to 5 years, allowing you to purchase additional guards at a significantly reduced price. Normally, the mold is only kept for about a few months. (I have 3 crowns and a gap between my front teeth. ) There has been no effect on either the mold or the guard. My bite is much more comfortable than my OTC guard, so I am no longer drooling from a bulky oversized mouth guard at night.
The guard is perfectly formed to my teeth, even though my mouth is very small. Pop this in and I don't have to move it or worry about it falling When it is in, I am even able to talk. The teeth have only scratched a few times over the last month or so where I rub them. It's easy to clean and does not stain. Whenever I woke up with jaw and neck pain I would immediately think, "Gah, I'm grinding my teeth again" and I'd immediately grind my teeth even more. It was recommended to me by several friends that I try this type of mouth guard. The price of the device was fairly mid range and it was receiving pretty good reviews, so I decided it was the one I should go with. We were surprised at how effortless and straightforward it was to receive and mold the materials, send them back and then receive the finished product. I was expecting a smaller, thinner, and more bulky guard, but the one I received was much bigger, thicker, and bulkier. Wearing it for a few minutes at a time helped me become comfortable with it to the point where I was able to wear it all night long. There have been several months since I quit and I'm just not able to do it any more. It may work for some, but I can't ever sleep with it on. It's too thick and bulky for me to wear it for that long.

In my experience, the devices they provide are not the same as those you can get from the dentist. Too good to be true, because I received back the mouth guard that was way too tight and resulted in me hurting my teeth. Our experience with their customer service was poor and their customer service was not very helpful. We tried boiling it as their CS recommended, but in the end, it was a waste of time.

I wasn't sure about it but it's what I've been thinking about, so I'm going to try it. When I tried to make the mold, it went wrong and I sent the company an e-mail As soon as I asked for new molding supplies, they sent them to me. We received the nightguard back a little over a week ago. The fit was great, but I was bothered by the thickness of the material. They tried to adjust it at home, but it seemed still too thick. I contacted customer service again and they tried to help. I was then given another set of molding supplies so they could make a thinner version for me. I received the new version very quickly and am happy with it! I know this because I had to spend a little more than 600 dollars on a guard for my daughter and she got the same nightguard you get from the dentist. It is the same as the previous one. If you have a specific need and need it to be adjusted by a dentist, it's worth a try.

There is an extremely cheap quality to this mouth guard, as well as excessive thickness. Its price is very low, which means there are many other brands available that are better. Even with the benefits, it's impossible for me to justify spending so much money on a piece of plastic that's just 3 inches long.
