Questions & Answers

Is there a good all-natural (non-chemical) cleaner that works well with this product?

Yes, I wash every morning with an unscented soap such as Dr. Bronner's Mild Baby (liquid). After that, allow to dry in an open case. Everything is in order.

I'm afraid I'll suffocate while sleeping on it. How do you keep it in your mouth?

I've been using them for over a year and have never had a problem with them. It's too big to fit in your mouth. The device is made of plastic, and the parts that prevent your teeth from grinding are in the shape of a "T." The "bottom" of each "T" is the part that rests between your teeth; it's about the size of a postage stamp and about 1/8-inch thick. thickness of one inch The top of the "T" is about the size of a 1. It sits between your molars and cheek. There are five stamps in this set. There are four 1/8-inch holes in it. Think of the "T's" as being on their side, with the lower part of each "T" facing in toward your tongue and the top part of each "T" between your molars and cheek, and the top part of each "T" between your molars and cheek. The two "T's" are connected by a 0.25-inch-wide plastic strip. 25 inches long by 1 inch wide 75 inches in length (with the holes mentioned above, you can make it longer or shorter). This strip is shaped like a flattened "U" and connects the two "T's" by fitting under your lower teeth and around the gum line, with the exception of the part you bite down on, which is made of a firmer material. It has a total range of adjustment of about 3. 5 to 4. 5 inches in length br>There are enough "big" pieces in it that it won't go down (or catch in) your throat. Furthermore, the pieces are "T" shaped, have holes, and are long enough that even if they get stuck in your throat, the "T" shape and holes will allow air to pass through. I don't see how this could be a choking hazard.br>I experimented with three different types of guards. I tried the most expensive football guards (which included $10,000 in dental insurance), the most affordable basketball guards, and a smaller version of the "U" shaped design made specifically for teeth grinding. Everyone was in a bad mood. The sports ones were huge and uncomfortable because they rubbed against my tongue and cheeks. The smaller "U" shaped guard, designed specifically for grinding teeth, was a little more comfortable, but it broke down after about a month. The Dura Guard is one of my favorites because it doesn't irritate your tongue, is soft against your cheeks, and prevents your teeth from grinding against each other. It lasts for about 6 months, and both of the previous ones I used developed a crack in the plastic strip. The disadvantage is that they do not last indefinitely (like a basketball guard) and are expensive. On the plus side, they're very comfortable, making it easy to fall asleep without feeling like your mouth is full of plastic. br>All four of the types I tried move around a little. When I was sleeping, I discovered that they (all of them at one point or another) had completely fallen out of my mouth. Even if they do move a little, they're all large enough that you won't be able to clench or grind your teeth.

Is this product suitable for a four-year-old child?

No, I believe a four-person team would be more appropriate. year- This product is for adults only, and anyone under the age of 18 should see a dentist.

I just got mine today and I'm afraid I'm going to swallow it. How do you keep it in your mouth?

It miraculously molds to your teeth once it reaches mouth temperature. I've been using this guard for three years and have had no issues.

I've Never Used a Better Night Guard
5/5

This is my second purchase of this product; the first one is still working fine, but after more than two years of use, I decided it was time to replace it. Over the years, I've tried a lot of night guards, and none of them have worked as well for me as this one. You won't even notice this guard in your mouth once it's in. It comes with four different adjustment notches for a custom fit. Only your back teeth are in contact with the rear resting pads. You're completely unaware that something is covering your entire mouth. This guard has made my life so much easier.

For light to moderate grinders, this is an excellent night guard
5/5

I buy these for my sister, and she adores it; she wears it at night and on occasion during the day. It's relaxing and simple to operate. The only caveat I'd add is that this guard isn't for people who grind all night or all day. I suggest a night guard lab like J for severe grinding. S Dental Lab is a place where you can get a variety of dental guards (depending on your level of grinding) for a fraction of the cost of your dentist (mine cost $400 two years ago). There are several sellers on Amazon, and without add-ons, they cost around $130. Don't be put off by the fact that you'll have to make your own mold; it's actually quite simple, and the worst that could happen is that you'll have to start all over again. This is the route I take because of the cost, and the quality is the same as it would be if my dentist did it. I know I'm veering off topic, but there are different levels of grinding, and the right night guard can make all the difference. I prefer a lower guard because it is more comfortable for me. I began with a top night guard and didn t 100% like it 100% so I changed to a lower guard.

DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO MY NUMBER THREE
3/5

AWARDED A STAR RATING. First and foremost, DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO MY THREE QUESTIONS A rating of one to five stars Please hear me out. br>br>In all the years I've shopped on Amazon, there hasn't been a product I've been more excited about and had higher expectations for than this nightguard. br>br>After an hour of wearing it, I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was. Then, on the second hour, I began to notice that my skin was itching intensely. I'm talking about a major itch problem. Scratching almost broke my skin. br>br>Within five minutes of removing the night guard, the itching had stopped. Last but not least, I had a severe reaction to a chemical component in the guard. br>br>I noticed that a growing number of companies claim that their guards are free of BPA and other known chemicals. These companies, on the other hand, fail to mention that the BPA substitutes are frequently BPB and other BP cousins, which are far worse. BPA can be found in canned food liners as well as cash register receipts. Just a quick note of interest. br>br>I gave it a 3-star rating. One reason is that it is a star: My allergic reaction to a chemical in the product; if I hadn't been allergic to it, it would have been an excellent guard. br>br>I will be returning this guard for a refund, as it was advertised on the original order page as RETURNABLE. This returnable notice was the primary reason for purchasing this guard. br>br>Go ahead and try it out. You've got nothing to lose, especially since no other customers have mentioned having an allergic reaction like I did.

The concept is fantastic, but the execution is lacking
3/5

This dental guard is a fantastic idea, and it's a fantastic alternative to fitted guards, which can cost hundreds of dollars (and must be replaced if dental work is required). It was actually more comfortable than my previous, custom-fit guard - EXCEPT . It has a mechanism for adjusting the upper teeth that extends above the gum line. That mechanism rubbed painfully against my gums on the right side, making it impossible for me to wear it after two weeks. I was overworked at the time and was unable to return the guard within the 30-day deadline. Apart from the rubbing issue, this was a very comfortable guard that stayed in place where it needed to be. I've just ordered this company's "ultra comfort" model in the hopes that the adjustment mechanism will be lower profile.

It gets even better
5/5

I've been using this product for years after being diagnosed with mild sleep apnea. Because of the self-discipline, you might have bought as many as 16 times. modifying the design (My daughter's $2000 custom appliance caused TMJ pain, but I've never had an issue with SleepRight. ) ) I find the smallest setting to be the most comfortable, and the Dura to be the most durable. When my most recent Amazon order arrived, I discovered it was made of a newer type of clear material that proved to be more durable and comfortable. er, and even more appealing than the previous versions' good stuff I admire a company that continues to improve on a good idea, so I'm a big supporter.

If you're using a customized form, If the fitted ones didn't work out, these could be worth a shot
4/5

As a result, I've experimented with a variety of occlusal guards, including: I tried several different brands, but the ones you microwave and bite into at home never worked, so I got a $266 one from my dentist (which was no better than the microwave ones). My issue with all of them was that no matter how many times I tried to re-create them, I couldn't seem to get them to work. I could never sleep comfortably, no matter how many times the dentist tried to adjust my teeth. I also felt like my jaw would slide around if I rolled over to one side or the other or lay on my back. For an hour or so every morning, I felt as if my bite was off. Then I came across this. br>br> Because they don't quite fit your teeth, you can move them around until they do. When I roll over in the middle of the night, I believe I automatically shift them a little so that I can find a bite and feel comfortable without actually waking up. Also, saliva can flow around your teeth, and I've never had a problem with my bite. When I wake up in the morning, I wash them with a little soap, then place them in a small tray and spray them with hydrogen peroxide; they seem to stay clean. The only thing I don't care for are the side ridges-- I cut them off because they were irritating my gums. It works just fine without them. I've been using these, and I believe they've interfered with my nighttime grinding.
