Questions & Answers

How long do you think you'll be able to keep this thing going? thanks. ?

One of these will last me for several weeks. I've had a lot of issues with teeth breaking due to my nighttime grinding, so a box of 14 lasts me a long time. I wish I had discovered these 20 years ago because I would still have all of my teeth!

My mouth is quite small. Is this going to be a bit too big?

I have a small mouth as well, but whatever I put in it stays there. I've never woken up with it anywhere other than where it belongs.

Can I still use it if I don't have any top teeth?

If you have missing teeth, the makers advise against using it. I believe there is a risk of choking, but I am not certain. If I were you, I'd advise against using them if you don't have any upper teeth.

My cheek is bitten on the inside. Are these going to be of assistance to me?

Thank you for your question, JD. These mouth guards are primarily intended to relieve the symptoms of teeth grinding and clenching. They might lessen the severity of the bite on the inside of your cheek, but they won't stop the pinching because there will only be one sharp edge from your teeth biting the cheek. We also sell mouth guards that are completely customized to your specifications. JD, thank you once more!

The silver foil is devoid of the plackers' usual wording. The registered trademark wording on the plackers is also missing from the product. In addition, the genuine original is smoother and more transparent than the one I received. The one I received was rough, with small bits of molding poking out here and there.

Returning to these issues
4/5

I've experimented with a variety of night guards. I've gone through all of them, including the ones made by a dentist, and I've literally bit through them. I made the decision that I was not going to spend $500 on something I would eat. So, after experimenting with moldable guards and other disposable guard brands, I've returned to these. The reason for this is that 1) these keep my teeth from touching, 2) I clench and grind to the point where I get sores on my back gums, 3) I wake up with neck pain, 4) I wake up with ear pain after several nights without a guard, 5)these guards are smaller and don't make me gag, 6)they're disposable, 7)they're discreet, 8)they're reasonably priced, and finally, I don't wake up in the middle of the br>br>I gave it four stars because they're a little on the thin side. These are, however, my "go to" night guards in general.

Of all the ones I've tried, this is by far the best
5/5

I've tried a lot of different devices, and this one is the best. Many years ago, I was involved in a car accident. One of the jaw's disks has been removed. My teeth are clenched and grinded. It's critical that my jaw bone doesn't deteriorate. Many years ago, I had a $1,000 acrylic device that had broken. Dentists are now demanding $4,000 for their services. I purchased a number of devices on Amazon in the hopes of finding some relief. There's one that only does front teeth, one that's soft and only molds upper teeth, one that molds both upper and lower teeth at the same time, and a few others. Each night, I was in excruciating pain. I couldn't think of anything else to try, so I figured I'd try these. I was taken aback after the first night. The level of discomfort decreased from a ten to a three. They don't last very long with me. I could wear one for a long time, but after about 5 nights, I notice it becomes less rigid and my jaw starts to hurt. However, the device shows no signs of wear; I believe that if the plastic were a little harder, I could wear it for a little longer. For me, about four nights is ideal, and I apply it to my upper jaw. It can, however, be worn on either the upper or lower half of the body. It rubs my gums a little on the lower. It's useful that it can be used in both directions. Both work for me; however, I prefer the upper.

"Do not use," my dentist advised
3/5

My dentist made a night mouth guard for me. I started grinding my teeth during the day, so I figured this product would be useful. I mentioned what I was wearing at my dental appointment. Instead of relying on this product, my dentist advised me to wear my night mouth guard during the day, as the pressure points could alter my bite and cause damage that would necessitate orthodontic treatment. So, aside from when I'm eating, I always wear my night mouth guard. Prior to making a purchase, consult your dentist.

I thought these would work because I travel a lot, so I didn't want to waste my time

They slide around in your mouth and don't fit as snugly as a real nighttime guard. I was promised a refund, but I never received one.

Grind guards for your teeth that are the best on the market! These dental grinding guards are fantastic! I've tried pretty much every kind out there, and these Plackers are by far the best
5/5

I've been using these for years and was thrilled to see them here for such a low price. No boiling, shaping, molding, etc. , and I found all of those kinds to be so bulky in my mouth that I eventually ended up throwing them across the room because they felt like I had a mouthful of marbles in the middle of the night. These are simply thin, universally sized, flexible guards that work on both top and bottom teeth, are very comfortable and fit well, and stay in the mouth all night. Even when I'm sleeping, I can't tell I'm wearing them. Instead of the 3-weeks they recommend, I get a couple of weeks out of each one. I give them 5 days because they don't seem to wear out quickly. They come individually wrapped in a small plastic "tray," which I use to store them every day and for travel (if the top flap isn't peeled off completely). I'm a terrible nighttime grinder, and these have been a lifesaver!.

I'm not sure how people manage to keep them up
3/5

I'm not sure how people manage to keep them up. They are extremely flimsy and do not stay in place.

Do you have any doubts? You'll love them if you give them a try! I had my doubts
5/5

I have an expensive mouth guard from my dentist, but I wanted to bring something with me on vacation so I wouldn't lose it. I'm the world's best grinder. My grinding has resulted in the loss of several teeth. I have to wear a guard every night or I get severe headaches and pain all the way down my jaw, shoulder, and back. I didn't think they'd work because they're so small. But, thankfully, I was mistaken. They're fantastic! I first tried them on my bottom teeth, which worked fine. But, instead, I tried them on my top teeth, and they worked perfectly. As a result, I recommend experimenting with both positions to see which one suits you best. It's difficult to believe they'll stay put when you first see them, but they do. When I'm too lazy to clean my good one, I even wear them at home! Please do yourself a favor and give them a try!.
