Questions & Answers

How long do you think it'll take for the taste to go away?

You won't be able to taste it unless it gets onto your tongue. If it bothers me, I use tooth paste to brush my tongue, which seems to help. If not, how about an hour?

This is my very first time. That happened the night before yesterday. Is it a side effect that I don't have taste buds this morning?

I've used it a few times now and have never had a problem.

How long can a pandemic keep you from seeing a dentist?

Before this came to my house, I went to the dentist. I'd just finished having covid and was still contagious, so the dental community came up with a plan to help me. They pulled my tooth rather than try to save it or even set me up for an implant because it was just me and two dentists in a large dental complex. I owe a great debt of gratitude to those dentists and their families. Thank you very much.

When it comes to drying time, how long does it take?

I had a tooth break that was extremely painful, but after following the directions to the letter, I did the bite down a few times and must have gotten it in pretty good and full because it was extremely painful, to the point where I had to try to extract some of it. I then responded by not pressing as hard, but some of it remained from the first attempt; it didn't hurt, and when I finally went to the dentist three weeks later, he said I did a great job filling the tooth. However, it takes about 5 minutes for the product to stop moving and risk falling off completely, followed by another 30 minutes before it is hard enough to not be concerned about, and then at least 2 hours before it is hard enough to eat. Avoid sodas and other sugary or carbonated beverages because they will soften the filling and cause it to break off more quickly.

It takes a little practice to get it right, but once you do, it works perfectly
4/5

I've used this product in the past when I couldn't get an appointment with a dentist right away. I have to say, the prices here are very reasonable! One of these will set you back around $7 in a physical store. In terms of my personal experience with this product, I didn't have the best results at first. It was ironic because I was following the directions. But after a while of using it, I was able to get the hang of it. br>br>1 - If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innov To begin, ensure that your mouth is clean by rinsing it thoroughly with mouthwash. Second, which of your teeth do you intend to use it on? Whatever the case, I discovered that this does not work well for chewing surfaces. It works well on the sides and corners, particularly when the surface is rough. The more jagged and rough the surface it's applied to, the better. Smooth surfaces simply do not have enough ridges to grab onto, live, and learn on. br>br>2 - If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innov Once you've got everything ready, it's better to use less and apply more than to use too much. To remove a small piece, use a small screwdriver or knife. Then, using your fingers, roll into a ball. Then, with your finger, moisten the material with saliva or water to prevent it from drying out. The material should then be placed where it is required. Firmly press it in to ensure that it reaches every nook and cranny. Then take a bite and chew it gently. If there is any material on the surface of your tooth, remove it as soon as possible with your fingernail. Remove any other excess materials as well. It's never a good idea to take on too much. Then, using your finger, smooth out the exterior portion of the material so that it matches the surrounding tooth surface as closely as possible. If the material comes into direct contact with the gum line after it has dried, it will fail sooner due to frequent jaw movement. br>br>3 - If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "innov Now you just have to wait until it's firmly pressed in, properly placed, and smoothed out. For the next eight weeks, It sets after 12 hours. Nothing should be eaten on that side of your mouth. When you're drinking, make sure you're doing it on the other side as well. For the first day after, don't chew anything hard on that tooth or on that side of the mouth. When you reach day two, the material has hardened to the point where you can eat normally. Never eat nuts, hard candy, beef jerky, steaks, or other hard foods on that repaired tooth, as it isn't nearly as strong as a dentist's filling, let alone your natural tooth. br>br>Otherwise, if you follow the steps correctly, you should get about two weeks per application before having to repeat them. Don't worry if you swallow a piece; it's completely harmless. Also, what about the white paste residue on your fingers? It comes off easily with just a drop of rubbing alcohol. Those with messy hands should visit their dentist, because you can't have your cake and eat it too. I've had mine last up to a month when it's done properly. It could last a few days or minutes if done incorrectly. It's all about how you use it. br>br>This material has remained unchanged for years because it is the best temporary option available in my experience. It's good to have on hand in normal circumstances, but with the current climate, it's essential. I stocked up on 19 spread all over the world. Not only could seeing a dentist become difficult, if not impossible, if things go wrong, but I personally do not want to go near a crowded waiting room in case someone there is a carrier. br>br>As a result of my years of experience with this product and the tweaks I've learned along the way to make it last longer, I recommend it. It isn't appropriate in all circumstances, but for the money, it can't hurt to try. Even if you don't require it right now, having it on hand relieves you of one more worry.

It hardens to a rock-solid consistency! Everything is in order
5/5

Dentek of this type has been a lifesaver in the past. I don't want to admit it, but one of my back teeth has a large filling that I can't afford to replace with a root canal and crown. This product is simple to apply, adheres well, and hardens quickly. I'm able to chew normally now thanks to this stuff. This is something I can't imagine living without. It's a pity that dental care in the United States is so expensive.

To adhere properly, it requires a second sealant
3/5

I read all of the reviews and hoped that the Dentek repair kit would be a hit. It works, but only for a short period of time. It does aid in the alleviation of pain. When the cement hits your gums, you will immediately feel a cooling sensation. Wait two (2) minutes. It takes 3 hours for the product to dry before you can eat it. Having said that, even after waiting, I discovered that the majority of the product fell out of my mouth after dinner. I had hoped that a single application of Dentek would last all weekend. br> br>Like many others, I'm in need of a place to call home. Most businesses in New York City are closed, so you can stay at home. As a result, my dentist is unavailable to fill my crown, and I will have to wait until he or another dentist becomes available. As a result, instead of 48 hours, I may have to wait up to 48 days.   br> br>To help with this problem, I poured Dentek into the hole in my tooth. After that, I wait three hours before sealing it with crown glue, which I also purchased on Amazon. That, it appears, is the key! I also have to change the dressing every week or so. This is something I intend to do until I can see a dentist.

Not on the same level as Dentemp
3/5

DenTemp is better; don't waste your money on DenTek, which is more chalky and crumbles more easily, making a bigger mess than DenTemp, which is more clayy and sticks much better without the mess and feeling of a mouthful of kitty litter.

Aluminum is present in this product
3/5

Not used. In the ingredient list, there are aluminum products, which was not noticed when the order was placed. I'm not going to use it. Other products in the same order are being awaited, but not aluminum.

It's not too difficult to use
5/5

If you have a lost filling or a break in one of your front teeth, like I did, it will show. Take a look at the before and after pictures. It's better than the $158 I had to pay out of pocket at the dentist for a temporary filling! (After insurance!) I just needed something to put a halt to the food collection until I could afford the crown he insists on having.

Only for a limited time! For fallen fillings, decaying dentures, or cracked crowns, this is NOT a substitute for professional dental care
4/5

For one thing, the label advises seeing a dentist within 48 hours, and it also warns that if the cement is applied incorrectly, abscesses and infections can develop beneath the surface. So don't think you'll be able to be a handyman. Save money with a handy at-home dentist. If you're going away for the weekend, hiking in the countryside, or otherwise far from help, this tiny vial could save you a lot of pain and suffering in the short term. It is extremely light and includes an applicator/explorer. To see what you're doing, all you need is a mirror, preferably one with lights.

Chalk that is not too hard
3/5

It's nothing but garbage that "hardens" to the consistency of soft chalk and breaks up and falls apart under any pressure, hours later most of it washed away when I simply rinsed my mouth out with water because it leaves an awful taste in your mouth, and it's useless as a dental product.
