I've been using this floss for at least 25 years, and it's the only one I like. I'm not sure if they recently changed the product or what happened, but this is nearly unusable. br>br>The floss is much thinner than usual, and if it gets wet at all, it will slip between your fingers, making it impossible to grip. The mouth is obviously a moist environment, which poses a problem. I've wrapped the floss around my fingers four times (using far more product than is necessary) and it STILL slides through. What exactly did they do? It's possible I'll have to go with a water pik.

I don't usually write "bad" reviews, but this one falls into that category. It is due to the high quality of dental floss. To begin with: br>br> All of the packaging is made of plastic. At the very least, include some recyclable cardboard in the package. br>br>The first time I tried to get this floss out of its container, I was SO ANGRY. I can disassemble a vacuum cleaner and replace the fan belt, as well as perform minor plumbing repairs. I'm not afraid of changing a tire on a car. Is it possible that I'll be able to get this floss out of the container? In no way, no how. br>br>I opened the container after tugging and tugging, but the floss STILL wouldn't unwind properly. I removed the spool and turned the entire unit upside-down, assuming it had simply been inserted into its container incorrectly. br>br>NOTHING WAS WORKING. Every time I need to use the floss, I have to open the lid. br>br>AND, the icing on the cake- The floss is ridiculously thin and easily shreds- THE ENTIRE THING IS A JOKE. br>br>The first time I used the floss, shredded thready bits got stuck between my upper molars, and I had to dig out my REAL waxed floss to get the "hairs" out. br>br>If you dislike mint, don't worry. You won't be able to tell if this floss is flavored or not because you won't be able to detect any mint. br>br>I'm digging through the trash to find the plastic packaging and returning this garbage for a refund.

Because of the sharp angle at which the floss comes off the reel, it gets stuck in the dispenser. I fixed the problem by drilling a hole in the dispenser's middle to allow floss to pass through.

PROS: It has a minty flavor. Package container with a relatively low waste rate (four times the length of other floss containers). Pulls and cuts effectively. CONS: br>br> The string is of poor quality. My teeth ripped this to shreds. I probably used more floss in total because I had to cut a second string to floss out the floss fibers that had become stuck in between my teeth during the first flossing.

Other flosses, such as Glide, are prone to severance, forcing me to channel my inner Homer Simpson: "Doh! " I'll be honest, some of my teeth have sharp edges. Floss that isn't as hardy is shredded by these edges. During failed attempts to remove food particles and other plaque-causing substances, I'm certain I released stress hormones. These floss dispensers were a steal, costing a fraction of the price of most alternatives. The fact that it was for waxed floss with a minty fresh scent was the deciding factor. I was a little taken aback when I got it: The floss is at the top of the dispenser, not a flip top, unlike any floss dispenser I'd ever seen. This is unacceptable in the south, where I live. Because of the bugs, which are unavoidable down here, you can't keep anything out in the open. To keep it contained, I kept the original packaging (as you should). Other options include storing it in a locked medicine cabinet or even in your refrigerator. It received a favorable rating from me because it was inexpensive, minty, and practical.

Recently, I made a new order. This product has been cheapened in every way - it does a better job of getting things between my teeth, has a better feel, and has a better taste. It's nearly unusable at this point. I noticed I couldn't get any more floss out of the first dispenser when I went to use it. I opened the top and had to pull a few feet out to get it to a point where I could pull some out without getting stuck. I noticed the floss was noticeably thinner and also very rough as I was pulling. It now appears to be identical to any other store-bought floss. All of the components, including the dispenser, spool, and cutter, have been reduced in price. I can get floss out of it if I shake and pull it hard enough, but it dispenses very unevenly. I'll continue to use these until they're no longer available. I don't see why I should stick with this brand instead of something else. This product's quality has deteriorated, and I am disappointed.
