In comparison to dental work, it's a bargain.
Floss is already strung on each head. It's as simple as snapping it on and putting it to work.
I'm a sucker for single strands. It's very effective, and my teeth are spotless.
The size of a typical adult toothbrush.

In any case, save yourself the trouble and get this. Just be careful not to pinch your finger when inserting the new flossing bit; I always use a towel or my shirt. I wish these were a little cheaper, but they're fine, and they're great for kids who (normally) don't want to do anything they don't want to do if they can be doing something else (like reading or watching TV). This shouldn't be an issue if you have really tight teeth like me, but if you have a lot of dental work, be aware that the floss can snap, fray, or get stuck just like regular floss. Reach no longer makes them, so I'm glad Listerine started making them. A 100-pack is what I'm looking for.
I go through floss way too fast because I have to tear off a good 24 inches to wrap it around my finger and keep it from slipping. However, having this is convenient because I can reuse it, similar to how you can reuse a toothbrush. Once every four years, I read one of these inserts. By using it regularly, you can get 5 days out of it. I can save several more days of use if I'm extra careful. It's also a lot less painful than putting my fingers in my mouth. They don't have any flavor. You should be able to find flavored ones somewhere. The thickness is adequate at first, but after a few uses, it begins to break apart. It starts to look like a thread as it gets older, but it still works. It's just that I wish it were a little more long-lasting. Floss that isn't inserted is more durable than floss that isn't inserted. So, in general, it's best to use them with caution and avoid being overly aggressive. 3 months later: br>br>Edit: I dropped from a 5 to a 2 star rating. After three months of use, I discovered that it does not clean my teeth as effectively as floss. When I use this instead of floss, it seems to build up more tarter. Because the floss on these picks is too thin, I believe this is the cause. I'm guessing they're thin to prevent them from breaking and forcing you to buy more from the manufacturer. They were very cunning. These are not something I would recommend. If you don't have floss, they'll do just fine. When I run out of these refills, I'm not going to buy any more.
I despise my wisdom teeth because they grew in straight and are difficult to floss. Dentist wants me to floss more; I offered to have all of my teeth extracted, but apparently that isn't the proper response. So I bought these, and so far they've worked out great. It takes a little getting used to flossing like you're brushing your teeth, but it's totally worth it. Strongly advise.
These are fantastic. I'm finally able to reach my wisdom teeth without difficulty. (Yes, I've never taken them out because they don't bother me in the least). The only concern I have is that these will increase my plastic production, which I am very unhappy about, but given dentists' "extortion prices," I do everything I can to avoid decay and/or plaque. br>I would strongly suggest them.
Regular string floss is painful for me because I have fibromyalgia and arthritis. This product performs admirably while being kind to my hands and shoulders.
From 1996 to the present I used the Reach dental floss set in 2001, which included the holder as well as at least 36 refills in addition to the ten that came in the package. Because my teeth are close together and flossing had become impossible due to arthritis in my thumbs' CMC joint, I used it. I had the joints replaced in two surgeries, each of which had complications, and it took a long time for me to regain full use of them. After a while, I reverted to Reach floss. After that, a new dentist replaced a filling without inspecting it for rough edges. When flossing between the two teeth, I was constantly breaking my floss. And, for the first time in years, my hands hurt, possibly as a result of flossing with such care. It was time to invest in a Reach Flosser, so I went out and purchased one. br>br>It's fine if Listerine wants to claim that it can replace the Reach Flosser, but it's completely false. The floss in this flosser is extremely thin and razor-sharp. It isn't even close to being a Reach- I can't use it because it's type floss. I don't like returning a lot of things to Amazon, so I'll keep it. But I can't think of a flosser that I would recommend any less than this one.
These are great for flossing, and they were widely available in stores a few years ago. However, with the switch from Reach to Listerine, there appears to have been an availability issue, and they no longer appear to be as widely available. Reach was chosen as the name because it is simple to reach anywhere in the mouth with only one hand and the disposable heads are simple to replace. br>Normally, the floss in the head is taut, but with the most recent one, several of the heads appeared crushed, and the floss was limp. The floss, however, became taunt and usable once it was snapped into the handle. br>My wife and I will keep using these, and the package with 28 extra refill heads was a good deal.
around- the- technique with the fingers The mint flavor fades quickly, though I'm sure I'll use mine for longer than the recommended time, so it's a great deal! The only drawback is that it doesn't "wrap" the tooth like the dentist prefers, but it's still better than not flossing at all, and it's much better and easier to hold than the disposable ones, as well as being less wasteful.
