I've tried traction devices, torture-looking inflatable devices, a cute but useless pillow, and endless popping and jarring of my own neck, and now this. I wish I had purchased this earlier. My neck subluxes (partial dislocates) on a daily basis because I have Ehler's Danlos Syndrome. It popped my neck back into place within seconds of laying down on this product, alleviating pain I'd been experiencing for MONTHS. It's possible that this is the best purchase I've ever made. š.
This orthotic was recommended to me recently by a colleague, and I'm glad I tried it. It combines the three types of care into one block: I'll be using it and recommending it to my patients because it comes in two adult sizes and one pediatric size, and it's sturdy/hard enough to allow the soft tissues to stretch over time. Its design isn't meant to be comfortable; rather, it's meant to aid in the remodeling of the cervical curve. I've been using it with my family for two months and have just ordered more to sell in my practice; I especially like the option of gradually introducing people to each level as needed. Previously, a patient had to purchase each level of care separately, which was usually more expensive, but now, these three-tiered care plans are much more affordable. In a single unit, you'll find everything you need to advance your care and help reduce pain. It is not only useful, but it also saves money for both the chiropractor and the patient. This cervical block comes highly recommended by me.
I expected it to come with some sort of instruction manual, given the three different sizes. I tried all three and they all hurt the back of my neck due to the device's hardness, and I'm not sure which one I should use for my size; it's also a lot smaller than it appears in the picture, which is fine - Even though I'm only 5'1" and 110 pounds, knowing which one to use is helpful.
After years of using another, more expensive brand of orthotics that sells this in various sizes for cervical correction purposes, I can confidently say these guys nailed it with proper cervical orthotic design and affordability to patients. br>br>Each level allows patients of various sizes and body types to benefit from and progress through care while also allowing pain in chronic-pain patients to subside. Instructions should be included in the package! On the box, it states that you should consult a doctor before using it. And it's possible that I should have gone ahead and done it. The product appears to work well, but there are no instructions included. Mine, at the very least, did not. I understand what you're thinking. What am I supposed to do if I don't know what to do? However, there is/was no indication of where this should be worn on the neck. Lower? So I did injure myself (on my own, because I didn't consult a physician), but some placement and duration of use instructions would have definitely helped! When using this product, exercise caution and begin at level one for a few days (or a week) before moving up.
I've recently begun seeing a chiropractor to help with some minor back pain and increase my mobility. Following x-rays, the doctor concluded that my neck curvature was not as it should be. Because I spend my entire day in front of a computer. I'm used to hunching over and not paying close attention to how my shoulders, neck, and back are positioned. He suggested a Diner Roll (or something along those lines). but demanded a much higher price than I was willing to pay for it. After doing some research, I brought it in and double-checked that it would work for me. I've used it a few times and would recommend that you err on the side of caution. My neck was sore for about a week after I went for like 10 minutes the first day. In any case, it appears to be well made, soft but firm enough to hold its shape, so it should last a long time. I haven't had another xray yet to see if my neck's curvature has improved, but I'll let you know if I hear anything positive.
As a result of the car accident, my neck is not curved. My chiropractor told me I needed one of something similar he had in his office because the one he had wasn't high enough for me. My height is average, but I have a long neck. It was $80 for the one he offered. This one I found on Amazon and took to my quiropractor with me. He was completely unaware of the situation. I tried the exercise with him, and he said it was fine and beneficial to my neck. So far, I've been utilizing it. The outcome will be seen.
