Questions & Answers

Can you supply me with one in a large size? I need one but in a large size. ?

The size information isn't prominent, but I think there are multiple sizes available as of the writing of this post. In order to find and download the sizes of the images, you must click through six identical images (smaller images, to the right of the large image). Changing the size of the images in the description requires clicking each image.

I cannot determine the proper collar size from the chart, so how do I determine the correct one as shown for short, long, etc. Does this collar fit better than the one size Aspen Vista collar?

My own difficulty with this was the same as yours. It was created after a few measurements were taken by my wife. The nect was frozen in place, so there was no way for me to figure it out. The sizing instructions seem to be unclear to me. Maybe you would like to buy one and return it if it is not right size, or maybe you want to go to a surgical supply store where you will be fitted and pay more. Despite the fact that I weigh 300 pounds and stand 6' tall, my wife decided I needed a short. A few adjustments have been made. While I wore this mostly during the day and as I went to sleep There is no need to worry about this. My illness is now over. may want to order a spare set of pads so you can replace them and clean them as needed. It appears that all sizes of pads have the same material.

When ordering shorts, I wonder if I should order regular as my neck is approximately 2 inches and 1/4 inches long. ?

In a regular, your neck will be too short, so you will not be comfortable. The neckline is meant for someone with a tall, slender body. The brace I have is the regular, but I have my brace adjustments set as high as they can go due to my long, thin neck. On the smaller size, there is still a lot of height. I doubt you need to adjust the small with such a short neck, but you can adjust it if needed.

There is 20 3/4 in. between my ear and the top of my head. Do I need the large or the small size?

You can't go wrong with a brace from Active Orthotics! It has been so comfortable that I spent six months in it 24/7 after breaking my c-section Despite narrowly escaping paralysis, 1 and C2 were still alive
5/5

As soon as I arrived at the hospital, I was admitted to one of these and sent home. It was necessary that I have another one so that I can wash one while still wearing the other. The collar is pretty comfortable (as comfortable as a neck brace can be) and I wouldn't have wanted to use it anyway. In spite of the injury, I still wear it frequently because my cervical spine is unstable and I have a pinched nerve. As a result, I'm back in it when it's acting up. As a result, I sleep in it every night. If I did not, I would wake up regretting every bit of it the next day.

sure to order the right size before you use it
3/5

Be sure it's the right size before you use it. My tall Miami J collars have always been so valuable to me, but this one is too short for me. In my physical therapy and doctors' offices, I was told that some with hypermobility and connective tissue disorders get elongated necks, especially with traction, so I wouldn't have noticed, except that I took the collar off today and saw "normal" As it is smaller than the others, I have bent forward quite a bit in the last year, so I have worn them out. In order to order size tall, I need to specify that. As soon as I get surgery, I will need to wear the proper collar size. experiencing seizures and some other neurological symptoms that have gotten worse, and now I see that it makes as much sense as before. It is very important that you can be cautious and aware if you decide to use this product. I tried so many times to be safe and to click on the right size before I used There is something wrong with this. Due to such oversight, I will not be purchasing from this company again. My money and trust is with this seller, and I expect some consideration for not just myself, but also for everyone else who bought some of these products. It seems that more and more people are getting diagnosed with craniocervical instability, and for me it is getting worse and I need urgent surgery. There is probably a large part of the problem here because of the mistake. My life has been drastically changed and we have done everything we could to fix it I consult with licensed professionals even then A & B My disappointment is deep.

A brace used at Johns Hopkins Neurosurgery is very similar to this
5/5

A delicate and complicated C-section awoke me with a sting in my throat In Johns Hopkins, this is the brace they placed on me after I had spinal surgery. A second one was bought here so I could switch them easily so one can be removed so it can be hand washed and dried overnight. It prevents me from turning my neck in any direction with ease using this brace. If seated, I can doze off with my head held in an upright position without it moving from its Sleeping in this is so much easier because it is so thin and allows your head to rest completely on the pillow, unlike thick foam neck braces that hold your head up away from the pillow a couple My 24-hour shirt will be a welcome change when I no longer need to wear it However, I am glad that I have the ability to sleep comfortably and it effectively protects my spine and spinal cord that were fixed in six hours by the best spinal cord surgeon in the United States at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore with the best staff in the country and the most caring staff. This was my first surgery and I never expected to have such a positive experience.

Insufficient stem length prevents your head from being supported
3/5

The straps are nice because these don't really last very long except for cupping under them, so they really don't add to your experience. Because the stem of this one isn't nearly long enough at the front, it makes bending difficult. The first one I had didn't really hold your head up like the first of these I had, that fell off my purse near a super liberal college and was stolen within a few hours. Egalitarians, This is how you get the effect so I know it works that way You probably thought that was pretty obvious, didn't you? When I first got it, the stem was so long that it was difficult for me to wear it for very long at all There were some muscles that were stretched beyond their capacity. This note applies It is a bit painful at first to feel the stem on your chest Oddly enough, this one is actually more comfortable than that one It didn't occur to me until I realized that without a place to hold itself it couldn't possibly work.

This is the absolute best
5/5

Is a miracle worker. Several years ago, another employee neglected my neck at work, and I have been in a lot of pain for more than two years now. The neck collar cost me nothing, so I decided to buy it and give it a try. There was a great deal of I was given a new lease on life after wearing this collar.

This is the best collar I've ever owned
5/5

I never thought I could love a collar until now! My wife received this collar after two previous ACDF surgeries, but have been given the Aspen Vista collar after a recent 3rd surgery. The Aspen has been a pain in the neck. Online I ordered the Miami J, and it is a stark contrast to the hard and Miami J is the gold standard. It is very comfortable, lightweight, well padded, keeps the neck aligned, has firm yet comfortable support, and is gentle on the neck. There are no sharp edges or pressure points, making it a great product to use.

The adjusting mechanism is unreliable and poor
3/5

There are two major issues I am not happy with The knob that allows you to adjust the size and length of the pillow to comfortably fit your body (pain-free) In their free) position, they are easy to slide out of place. There is a major issue here because after you carefully adjusted it to the proper position to limit pain, after a few minutes of wearing it, the pain returns. The position locks have come out of their respective places by themselves as soon as the unit is inspected. A recurrence of the problem has been occurring for some time. There is a big problem here! To make things worse, I have even tried to go crazy You can only resolve the problem temporarily by gluing the two together. 1) Its plastic material has the appearance of being quite flexible, but after a period of time, the combination of body heat, external heat, and so on, makes it lose Consequently, with a little movement of the neck, the initial and most appropriate position for pain appears. It is no longer possible to receive free support.
