Selected User Reviews For Digi-Flex - 10-0743 Blue Hand and Finger Exercise System, 7 lbs Resistance
The digi flex was for me, and this is his wife. I had a bad work accident and needed hand dexterity assistance because I have radial nerve damage as well as two posts and screws in my right arm, among other things. I'm right-handed, which is fortunate for me. If my memory serves me correctly, I began therapy at a center here and was given the green digi flex, then the red one, and finally the Workman's compensation. When my insurance company determined that I no longer required therapy at the Center, she referred me to the blue one, which I now use at home in addition to the other exercises she gave me to do at home while at the Center. I'm still being treated by an Orthopedist, who I see once a month until he, too, dismisses me. br> My manual abilities have greatly improved thanks to the Digi Flex. It's a fantastic product, and I'm glad I picked one up at a local medical supply store so I can continue to use it in conjunction with the other exercises.
It is well-made. I've never used a better hand strengthener. It can be used for the entire grip or just a single finger. There are various levels of strength. My occupational therapist had recommended it to me.
This was suggested to me by my physical therapist as a way to regain grip strength following an injury. When I squeeze it, something in the sliding bearing rubs against something else, causing the squeeze to move in a series of small jerks rather than in a smooth motion. But, I suppose, that's tolerable because I'm still using it and my strength is gradually returning. It's a simple exercise to do while talking on the phone or watching television. The biggest issue I have with it is finding it when I need it because I can't recall where I put it down.
Once I get a few hundred reps on this, I'll definitely get the next one.
There are four finger saddles on these. You'll come across "lookalikes" if you look hard enough. cheaper - There are only three saddles on this horse. 4 allows you to exercise one finger at a time, one at a time, in a sequential fashion. The ones with three fingers do not. This one appeals to me, and it's the same brand that my Occupational Therapist recommends.
For the past 6 months, I've been using this. These were first introduced to me in Physical Therapy. I needed to strengthen my grip while recovering from a hand operation. The item performed admirably! I'm ready for the next level of strength after six months.
They're of excellent quality. br> They appeal to me because they are simple to use. br>I also like how you can do one finger at a time. br>This is something I would recommend.
After having shoulder surgery, I purchased this and found it to be extremely beneficial in my recovery.
