As much as I wanted to love this, I could not. In comparison to my old mechanical scale, I wanted a digital one that would be easier to read. The answer is yes. I noticed that it remained consistent over several readings the first time I used it. After that, the display did crazy things and kept rolling the numbers continuously (into the 9000's! As soon as the blinking did not stop, I removed the batteries, put them back in, and it appeared to work again. There have been a few instances since then when the weight readings are not consistent, some up to 3lbs, as shown in the chart The interval between each is four minutes.
