As an athlete who uses the digital readout to track sweated-off weight for electrolyte rebalancing and hydration, the digital readout is incredibly accurate to the tenth of a pound. The non- Weight statistics aren't very useful and are only very broad generalizations; for example, if I drink a pound of water right after getting my weight and body fat reading, my weight will rise by exactly one pound. 0 pounds, but my body fat percentage data will rise proportionally, which is absurd because drinking water did not immediately increase my body fat PERCENTAGE!.
Aside from body fat, this scale also measures bone density, which is what prompted me to purchase it. I requested a bone density test from my Kaiser doctor, but the response I received was that it was only covered if you were over the age of 55. I can do it right now, but it will cost me $150. I'm a few years away from 55, but women nearing menopause also have bone density issues, and it'll be too late if I wait until then, especially since this scale costs less than $35. I've been using it for a while, and because I have some bone density issues, I also take calcium and magnesium supplements. I'm hoping to see a change in my numbers in the next three months or so. Another feature of this scale that I like is the ability to sink with your phone, which allows me to easily share this information with my doctor.
Prior to this, I had used a different one. When the last scale is activated five times, the last scale displays five different result numbers, which is not the case here. br>The scale also comes with a "Fitdays" app that you can download from Google Play or the App Store to keep track of your weight, body fat, and BMI. The app tells you what level you're at and how much weight you've lost or gained. The app is truly intelligent. br>It has a low profile, which took me a while to discover, but it is the best scale I've ever used. It is reasonable in price. The purchase has made me very happy.
When I was last at the doctor's office, I discovered that my cheap home scales were measuring me a few (comfortably reassuring) pounds lighter than the scales at the office. Much to my chagrin, I'm afraid. So I did some digging and came across these! Because I'm a cheapskate, I was looking for a good deal, and these fit the bill perfectly; check! The appearance came in second - These had a nice proportion to them and were understated. check! The functionality came in third. I wanted something that would provide me with a slew of statistics, accurate or not, that would persuade me that I was in some way healthy; check! Now, I understand that I have never had my body fat % measured or know what proportion of my body is skeletal muscle, but I was really impressed with the way the app worked It was simple to create an account, and the tracking capabilities are very useful. Regardless of that, the weight measurement seemed to be much closer to what I was at the doctor's office (sadly), so I'm more confident that at least that is accurate, and it also works without having to use the app (for all the "extra" data, you must have the app open when you stand on the scale)! All- All in all, it's a nice-looking scale that appears to work well as both a basic and a fancy who-knows-what scale. knows- whether- it's- I bought a true body measurement device for a great price, and although I've only had it for a few weeks, I would highly recommend it.
This is not a trustworthy source. I had high expectations for this scale, but it disappointed me. I weighed myself, and after a minute of waiting, I stepped on the scale, and my weight increased. It went down after 5 minutes of waiting. I continued to give it another chance the next day, and sure enough, I weighed myself three times and got three different results. I know you're thinking I used the scale on a carpet or an uneven surface, but nope, it was on a tile, and I compared it to my other digital scale, which I know is accurate, and my doctor's office scale, and the difference was off by three points. 4 pounds. Maybe mine was faulty, but that was my experience, so you can draw your own conclusions. I hope this information is useful.
I really like this scale because it has an extra feature that some other scales don't: real body age based on measurements. It's a kind of "tongue in cheek" accuracy, but I like knowing that I'm not quite where I should be in terms of age, shudder, but it's a great motivator to work toward my true body age. The results of the sync with my phone and the accumulation of stats are fantastic. It's very exciting, and I enjoy seeing how I'm improving my body in various ways.
Unfortunately, despite its stunning appearance and fantastic sound, this scale has not proven to be as functional as we had hoped. If you don't like your weight, we've discovered that you should shift it and try again. When you ride it four times, you'll get four different weights that are all very different from one another. At first, I assumed it was just me because I'm a bigger guy, but my 125-pound wife also gains six pounds. I wish I could like it, but I'm afraid I won't be able to.
The scale is simple to set up, and the phone app's interface is fairly seamless. I'm a fitness instructor, so I have easy access to more advanced body fat analyzers to compare with the scale and make sure they're on the same page; I use it once a week and find the charts in the app useful for tracking trends. I like that you can add other users, so perhaps one day I'll be able to convince my husband to join.
