Braun's products have been a part of my life for years, so this disappointment is huge to me. As my child gets older, we need to determine if she is cool enough to be outside. My order just came in and I received it just now. There is a C instead of an F in the degrees. At the time I ordered it, it wasn't stated anywhere in the description. That would not have convinced me to buy it if that was stated there. I must now decide whether I want to return it or figure out how to convert the numbers to degrees F.

As soon as I opened the packaging, the packaging was deformed, there was no seal anywhere (not on the box or on the plastic inserte, here), batteries had been installed, and it never made sense to me that this was a new unit. You discover that we have to select our age every time we want to use it, when we go to utilize it. No way to have it just use the last setting (I am over 36 months old, not very likely to be under 36 months old in the future, so why do I have to select that every time? The Braun thermometer I used previously was very good, so I was expecting the same thing with this one. Unfortunately, this will have to be returned.

Celsius is the unit of measurement. There is a thermometer for sale in the USA on Amazon, and it is fulfilled by Amazon, but the temperature measurement is in celsius, and you cannot change the temperature. If you are trying to figure out what the temperature should be in Fahrenheit, then buying in the USA is only worthwhile if you keep Googling your celsius temperature. I am also not yet sure if it was sealed in the factory. I used a blasting bag to wrap it. Alternatively, this may be a seller issue rather than a Braun issue. If you get the American version of Braun, it's fantastic.
