Questions & Answers

Is there much of a difference between the 22" tube and the 24" tube?

I purchased a 22'' several years ago and did not notice any acoustic differences. When I'm not wearing it, the 22" falls off my shoulders (rather than being stored in my coat pocket). It may not seem like a big deal, but there have been a few occasions where the 22-inch'scope has easily slipped off my one shoulder and clunk the patient in the chest while performing an abdominal or supine position exam.

Is the cardiology iv, as opposed to the iii, worth the extra money? Is it better than the iii in terms of sound quality? What are the major distinctions between the two?

I bought a 3 and had it for three weeks before it was stolen, so I upgraded to a 4. The 4 has incredible sound quality. Is it superior to the other three? I can't tell the difference. I think it's a little lighter than the 3. I also believe it is made of a different material because it appears to be cleaner. I'm not sure what the major differences are, but I believe it's well worth the extra $20.

Is this an improvement over the classic iii? My wife is going to get her master's degree. , and I'll give it to her as a present. Isn't it true that she's already using an iii?

The 7-year warranty on the 3M Littmann 6158 Cardiology IV Stethoscope is impressive. The sound quality is superior to that of the Classis III. It's a 9 on a 1-10 acoustic scale. A five-year warranty is included with the Classic III. It's a 7 on a 1-10 acoustic scale. br>Thank you for your time and consideration.br>CeilBlue Service

Is littman cardiology iv superior to cardiology iii?

Yes! Much more appealing! I had a 3 for a long time and recently upgraded to a 4, which I adore! The audio quality is incredible!

Cardiology IV vs
5/5

Cardiology III vs. Master Cardiology is a comparison between cardiology IV and cardiology III. To begin, I'll admit that I'm a sloppy Stethoscope user, which is how I ended up writing this review in the first place. Is it necessary to be intubated? Stethoscope has been misplaced. The stethoscope is missing, and the central line is down. Lunch takes only five minutes? My stethoscope was most likely microwaved. An ER resident's life is insane, surreal, and incredible. It also creates the ideal environment for stethoscope evaluation. Perhaps you're just starting medical/nursing school and this is your first big purchase, or perhaps you've been in the game for a while and this is your final purchase. In any case, it's a worthy upgrade to Cardiology III, and possibly even Master Cardiology. br>br>First, let's look at the similarities. I've owned all three, and the acoustics are a significant improvement over a less expensive model or brand. Now that we've reached the 'top tier,' the differences between these three will be more subtle. Cardiology IV and Master Cardiology are both comparable in terms of acoustics. Anecdotally, I find the Cardiology IV to be better at isolating background noise, and you can easily pick up any grade 2/6 murmur with either of these models. Cardiology III is a little behind the rest of the class. The differences will not be noticeable to a first-year medical or nursing student. However, those who have previously trained on a lower-quality product will appreciate the improvement. br>br>Tubing & Rubber tubing is used in both the Master Cardiology and the Cardiology III. The synthetic on the cardiology IV is noticeably thicker (and stiffer). In practice, this means a more comfortable position for your neck (it stays put). The new tubing is much more appealing to me, though durability will have to wait. br>br>Size and weight: The heaviest is master cardiology, which has a large diaphragm that will make you feel like a giant during your pediatrics rotation. The Cardiology IV is the next in line, weighing 7 grams more than the Cardiology III on my kitchen scale. In terms of weight and diaphragm size, it's comparable to the Cardiology III, but the build quality is significantly better. It's a pleasure to hold this thing because it feels solid. Other features include: br>br> The Cardiology IV has a fantastic tunable diaphragm. It enables the small diaphragm to be used solely for smaller humans, which is ideal for a variety of applications. Warranty: br>br>Warranty: br>br>Warranty: br>br>Warrant What difference does it make anyway? Before you can replace one of them, you'll lose all three. Colors: br>br> I chose standard black for my Cardio III because it was my first stethoscope and I wanted to make a good first impression. I bought the Hunter Green Cardiology IV and couldn't be happier with my decision. It's sophisticated and professional, but distinct enough to make it easy to recognize. Going against the grain and picking a real color is something I would strongly recommend. It will bring you joy during those long days, as well as serve as a subtle jab at medicine's hierarchy and pretentiousness (at least in my head). br>br>In conclusion, I would strongly suggest the Cardiology IV over the others. While the Master Cardiology has the best acoustics (debatable), it is clumsy and inconvenient for seeing children. It's also a lot heavier, and it'll probably fall off your neck. There's no reason to buy a Cardiology III any longer unless it's on sale (in which case, I'd still go with the better model). I just happened to find my Cardiology III a few days ago and considered returning the Cardio IV, but I couldn't bring myself to do it (I wouldn't recommend it as an upgrade unless you're ready for a new stethoscope). At the very least, I'll have a backup: )br>br>The Cardiology III in black is on the left, and the Cardiology IV in Hunter Green is on the right, both measuring 27 inches. Master Cardiology is most likely stored in a refrigerator.

From the Cardiology III, this is a genuine upgrade
5/5

Throughout my training and the first few years after, I used a cardiology III. My wife bought me this newer cardiology IV model when mine finally broke. I laughed at the idea of a newer acoustic stethoscope, laughed at the box when it arrived, and laughed again as I rounded on my first patient of the day. It was easily 10 louder than my old one. Since my first day of medical school, I haven't had so much fun with a stethoscope. "Hello, Mr. FEV1 of 0," says the narrator. Today, you've got breath sounds! "br>br>That feeling lasted for about 7 minutes. It's been ten days, and it's back to normal (with the exception of my wife's cardiology III, which is particularly boring). As a result, I've come to the conclusion that either our long-term strategic partnership or our long-term strategic partnership Used stethoscopes lost a lot of acoustic performance, which seems unlikely, but either I haven't tried a "new" cardiology III in a long time, or this newer model really does improve acoustics significantly. br>br>As a side note, there's a common misconception that if you practice with a bad stethoscope, you'll be that much better when you get a good one. This isn't the case at all. A good stethoscope at graduation will not save you from being bad with a stethoscope if you spend all of your training unable to appreciate the sounds being pointed out to you and thus unable to identify them for yourself.

If you want to do yourself a favor, go ahead and
5/5

Make a favor to yourself and just do it! Buy it! If you're unsure whether or not to spend the extra money on a more expensive one, go ahead and do it. Later on, you'll be glad you did. For EMT school, I purchased this stethoscope. I used to use a $40 MDF stethoscope, and I had no idea how much background noise I was hearing until I had the chance to listen through a Littman. It turns out that I'm not "bad" at hearing lung sounds or taking blood pressures; I just didn't have the best tool for the job! In the back of an ambulance and in a crowded Emergency Department, this stethoscope is very comfortable in my ears, and I can even hear lung sounds! The tubing has a lot of give to it. I 100% strongly recommend it to anyone who plans to work in the medical field.

Littmann is a phony! My Littmann stethoscope has just been discovered to be a forgery
3/5

I had a minor issue and had to give the Littmann company the serial number on the bell, but they refused to work on it because it was not their project, which irritated me greatly. Beware!.

The sound quality is excellent, with plenty of volume and clarity
5/5

My go- in the direction of the stethoscope Best non- I've never used an electronic stethoscope before. It's even better than electronic ones in my opinion. When listening for lung and heart sounds, as well as breath sounds, the sound is crisp and clear. I like that there is a bell and diaphragm for not only adults on the large side of the diaphragm, but also a bell and diaphragm for pediatric patients on the small side of the diaphragm, and that you don't have to flip the stethoscope to hear high/low pitched sounds. All you have to do is increase or decrease the pressure on the diaphragm you're using. Simply read the user manual thoroughly when you receive it. I'm a healthcare professional who has used a variety of Littmann and other stethoscopes, and this one is by far my favorite.

It appeared and reeked of wear, and it was difficult to hear much
3/5

I was able to figure out what color he was wearing: Stainless Steel Navy Blue Tubebr>br>The blue tubbing is disgusting, it feels greasy and tacky, and it smells like someone's kitchen. br>Touching it gave me the creeps. But that wasn't the only issue:

- It was supposed to be a woman's size, but the enormous tension between the hearing ends had squashed my perfectly normal sized head like a bug. It was simply squashing my head and ears, and I had no way of adjusting it.

- sound? What kind of noise is that? No, it's not easy to hear much at all. If you're lucky and manipulate it for half an hour, circling the chest, bending, and doing various gymnastics, you might hear a heartbeat. Many people tried, and we all got the same result, so you can call someone dead based on this, even if they are perfectly fine. In comparison to all other stethoscopes, this one performs admirably. HORRIBLE, IMPOSSIBLE-TO-HEARS DEVICE THAT IS VERY INCONSISTENT. This is a huge letdown. br>br> I paid a lot of money in the hopes of getting a flawless straight-up device. br>br>NO.
