Questions & Answers
Once our scale is in good working order and is well-maintained, it should be accurate and consistent. precisely calibrated We'd like to share some tips with you on how to make the most of the scale:
1. Instead of carpet or soft surfaces, place the scale on a hard, flat surface.
2. When weighing, keep your weight in the center of the scale and your body steady.
3. After moving or changing the batteries, recalibrate the scale. To calibrate the scale, place one foot on it until the display lights up, then remove it until the scale reads "0." 0”;
4. To minimize the deviation caused by nature, weigh yourself after waking up or before going to bed with fewer clothes on. br>We hope this information is helpful; please contact us via Amazon Buyer-Service if you have any additional questions or concerns. Messaging from the seller
Yes. It's part of the extremely simple instructions. It quickly downloads and synchronizes with the scale. Before I step on the scale, I open the app. The scale sends a large amount of data about your body mass to your phone in a short amount of time. Other users can be added to the app as well. I hope this information is useful.

Overall, it's a good product. I find it inconvenient that using the BMI features requires the smartphone app to access your location when it clearly does not require this information to use Bluetooth. It appears to be a ruse by the company to obtain and sell your location data for advertising purposes.
I hate to write a negative review because the scale is attractive and well-made, but it is horribly inaccurate. I purchased it in order to keep track of my BMI while I was cutting. My BMI had just been checked by a doctor. Which year was it in 2015%? When I stepped on the scale, it not only miscalculated my weight by 7 pounds, but also stated that my BMI was 31. I was a little perplexed and concerned, to say the least. This scale said it would literally kill me if I cut as much as I would need to be at 10% BMI with what this scale said it would literally kill me if I cut% I had a friend who also body builds with me try the scale his BMI is at 2010% again from a physician and the scale said 29% This is completely inaccurate, bordering on useless, and potentially dangerous. If anyone follows this percentage, they will not only be depressed, but they will also be putting their health at risk if they try to achieve the BMI they desire.
The previous version of the Etekcity scale was reliable, simple to read, and simple to use. Even after careful zeroing, this "new" model gives you a different weight every time you step on it. In addition, the massive bright blue display has been replaced with a black-and-white version. and-dark- a red display with different sized numbers on the same value displayed! What the hell is going on here? And the previous version was a piece of cake to work with - However, the new version is nearly two inches shorter in length and width, making it too small for my size 9 [woman's] foot. And I have the tiniest feet in the family! What a colossal letdown. I'm returning this one and replacing it with the "old" version, which served me well for five years.
The setup was simple: I downloaded the app, Bluetooth detected it, and I was hit with a reality check that felt like a slap in the face! It'll be more difficult to cheat now.
Edit: If I was able to correct this, I promised to revise my review. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app. It had the desired effect. It worked flawlessly for nearly a month. Then I overindulged at Christmas and gained a significant amount of water weight. The same thing happened to me as I was regaining my previous weight. The app doesn't like it when you gain or lose weight. It managed to sync this time. Strange. Overall, after troubleshooting, it's a decent scale for around $15-$20. $20. Original review: br>br> This scale has been in my possession for the past eight days. I am /- depending on the day and time (and whether or not I've eaten or had a drink). a pound Throughout the day, I may weigh myself several times. Especially if I was one thing one day, 2 pounds down the next, and 5 pounds up the next. Despite this, I consistently weigh the same amount, and my feet are in roughly the same position. It was very simple to set up and use the app. But it isn't working anymore. There's a default setting that says if your weight fluctuates a lot, you should recalibrate. I followed the instructions to zero the scale, and I'm about the same weight as before, but the data won't send to my phone. I used the Bluetooth troubleshooting advice. nothing. br>I'll revise my review if I can get it working again. I do, however, have a regular scale until that time comes.
This is a very nice scale with a lot of features for the price, making it an excellent buy. Customer service is a top priority for the company.
I like how it syncs with my phone and provides me with a wealth of information in addition to my weight. It's a breeze to set up and operate. It's a clean, simple design that works well. I was a little hesitant because the price seemed a little too low- I was pleasantly surprised, to say the least.
I had to download two different apps in order to get the correct information, and the fat calibration app was no longer available. What a swindle, to say the least. Amazon sells products that are outdated and ineffective. Do not, do not, do not, do not, do not, do not, do not, do not, do not, If you don't want to be ripped off, move on to another option.
