2141 The owner's manual contains a number of errors. 2. There isn't a USB port or cable. It keeps bringing up the word "voice. " It does not have a "voice" option. The date/time is set using the instructions in "System Settings," and pressing "Set" only toggles through these options. There are no "voice" options available. The letters "On" and "Off" do not appear when you press "M. " The "Memory," as the letter "M" stands for, will be erased. Obviously, "Volume Settings" refers to a different model or an older version of this model. Two "units" (test sets/people) are invisible to me. It always says "01," never "02," no matter how hard I try. Except for these points, the unit appears to function normally. This monitor is also shown in the Amazon ad in someone's hand, but ignore that image. It gives the impression that the unit is much bigger than it actually is. Although it is small, it is readable. It's fine if it's shown on a wrist. It cost only $17 to purchase. It's a good investment. It's simply deceptive and thus confusing, and it needs to be changed. It will remain in my possession.
Use the polarity markings on the inside of the battery cover as your sole source of information. This unit appears to be in excellent condition. The only issues I've come across are: br>br> The battery placement shown in the Owner's Manual is incorrect. Rely > a single Both the unit and the batteries became quite warm to the touch, with a faint hot/burning plastic odor. It appears that the unit has survived the owner's manual's incorrect polarity. br>br>I switched the batteries to the polarity indicated on the inside of the battery cover. Now everything is in working order. br>br>Note to Sejoy and the creator: With a few diodes, you can solve the problem.
If you buy ANY wrist monitor, you should put it through the same test. So far, none of the items I've bought have come close to being accurate. It's worth noting that none of these items are labeled as "tested and approved. ".
It's a good product for the price, but it's very sensitive to movement and can read inconsistently if you move around a lot while it's reading. It came with a case and was small enough to fit in my purse or diaper bag, which I appreciated. In addition, the memory bank came in handy when I needed to document my blood pressure for my doctor.
It will turn on, inflate, and so on, but when it comes time to display your reading, it simply displays all of the buttons and symbols on the screen. We've tried it on several people, removing batteries, and so on, and it just doesn't work. br>Also, if you have an irregular heartbeat (I do, but I'm aware of it and it's harmless), you won't get a readout; instead, it will just say "IHB" over and over, so anyone with a condition like mine will be unable to determine their BO. Spend a little more and get a different one as a favor to yourself.
I had others in my house try it, and then we used a manual and a different machine, which revealed that three of us were about 20 numbers lower than the other cuffs we used. The other cuffs gave us a more accurate reading of our blood pressure. br>The fit was good, and it was simple to use, but the lack of accuracy was an issue.
I work as a nurse in a hospital, so I checked my blood pressure at work and again a few minutes later, and it was about 35/30 higher than the hospital's professional BP monitor. As a result, when I check my blood pressure, I must subtract 35 from my systolic and 30 from my diastolic. Hopefully, they will soon produce a more accurate product. I suppose it's ok for the price; I'll just have to do some math, lol.
The arm cuff and monitor are both kept at home by me. When going out for the day, try to save space.
