I used that other device initially and got inflated and inconsistent readings regardless of the fact that it seemed to be a premium device with a lot of features. Since it was so affordable at $20, I thought it was well worth a try. The item was delivered very quickly (today), and following another lesson in the past, I did not wait to test it. I'm incredibly pleased with my For a device at this price point, this blood pressure monitor has the look, feel and functionality of a high quality device. Although it's not rife with features and bells and whistles, it performs well, seems consistent, and is accurate. It's not as feature-rich as other programs, but it is impressive. There is a hard case included that makes it easier to store. Voice instructions and results are clearly spoken by the device, which I appreciate. The monitor has a feature that allows two users to log their own readings while sharing it with each other. This feature is convenient for couples. In comparison to their larger, bulkier upper arm counterparts, I find this wrist blood pressure monitor to be more convenient to use, store, and transport. The monitor comes with instructions and information on one large glossy, durable sheet that should last for years. ****The only complaint I can think of may or may not be valid, but I THOUGHT the monitor's description stated that it could detect irregular heartbeats. The feature may or may not exist, but I have yet to confirm whether it does (although I may simply be mistaken or have overlooked it thus far). In spite of all that- My initial impression of this monitor was extremely positive at this price. I was thrilled to finally find a device that can be accurate and easy to use. Because it has a rechargeable battery, you do not need batteries. In fact, I do feel that it is an accurate measurement when compared to a professional doctor's equipment. My motivation for ordering this monitor was to have a portable BP monitor that I could easily carry with me on trips. At the time, my blood pressure had been acting up, and we were trying to get it under control, but I was traveling out of state at the time. I took a chance because of the positive reviews. I think it is absolutely wonderful. Only reason I gave it 4 stars for ease of use is that there are no instructions for setting up the date and time. It took me a while to figure it out, however. In sleep mode, press the s button for a long period of time until the year starts flashing, use the m button to set the year, then press s again to set the month and day, similar to setting a small digital watch. My doctor found it to be very accurate when I took it with me. A nurse was surprised by the nurse's reaction. However, she told me to stretch out my arm and rest it on the case when folding my arm so that the monitor was right against my heart as opposed to resting my arm against the case as instructed. It is wonderful that it records the date and time of the readings now that I have it set up that way. I would definitely recommend it!.

I got it after seeing a similar wrist blood pressure measurement device at my doctor's office. This one seemed much smaller and easier to use. In addition to being easier to use, the arm band monitor was also more accurate. After measuring at different wrist devices, I compared them with the arm devices at the doctor's office.
