My own blood pressure is measured twice daily, and I found that since trying to keep the stethoscope pressed against the skin and keep the meter readout in view of the pumping caused a false high reading over a period of Having gone back to my digital unit, which does not require a stethoscope, I find it to be much more accurate and in line with the reading from my doctor. The cuff also does not appear to leak even when pumping it up - In order to get the reading up to 200, you have to pump for at least a minute To guarantee a tight turn knob, I always hand tighten it. It's a lot of work and it's making my hands sore! I have arthritic hands.
