I have not been able to fix it. This is the only message I get. My Omron BP786N units came with replacement cuffs, but I never had a problem using them until I ordered the replacement. I'm sure it's the cuff because I finally hooked up the cuff from my other monitor to the nonfunctional one and it works just fine. I'm not sure why I haven't been able to find an HEM-compatible cuff. The FL31 cuff will be the only replacement because the original FL31 cuff is According to my research, I'm not the only one with this problem. There are a lot of complaints on the web. An incredibly reputable company like Omron should be ashamed of itself.
