Questions & Answers

This product is superior to magnifying glasses in what way?

To fully understand the perfect reply that chezphyl posted on June 1, 2014, I strongly advise you to read it. Here is a copy of it It is simple to bump them up when not in use, and to put them down when needed. You don't have to lay them down to use them since they remain on your head. By positioning your head down quite far, you can look up (over the top of the eyeglass frame) and see things like TVs or other people as if you were normal. It comes with an optional light that can be attached if you need more light on the work piece. I have not purchased it, because I have a number of other working lights that suffice. Make sure to note the distance between your face and the work piece to determine the lens power. It comes with one set of lenses, but you can purchase additional ones if you plan to use the headset for hobbies requiring varying distances between objects. encounter any problems with the apparatus while wearing glasses as part of your regular prescription, then you can wear them under it. Previously, I had trouble attaching magnifying glasses to the lenses of reading glasses due to the smaller size of my glasses or the poor quality of the magnifying clip. Those were the choices I made. So far, this has proved to be the most convenient solution for stitching with a very small needle.

Can you see?

Unless you are asking if the light is built-in, then the answer is no. If you are asking if it is lightweight, then the answer is it is not too heavy While I have not weighed it, it seems to fit comfortably on my head, and I often forget it is there when I am engaged in a project. Having a clear, distorted perspective on what you are working on is very important. For working on small objects, the focal length is about right. As far as I know, the lenses in the Donegan Optivisor are comparable to those in less expensive magnifiers.

This tool seems to be for people who wear glasses all the time and don't want to wear their glasses when they need it. I assume it is only for those who are nearsighted. What do you mean by that?

As a matter of fact, I wear it all the time with my glasses without any problems.

The box measures x y z. What is its dimension?

As a result, Amazon delivered inferior products in the original boxes of the manufacturer
3/5

I ordered the OptiVisor DA-720, and the manufacturer did not make any mistakes with it A 3 (and NOT As stated in the Amazon product description, these lenses are made out of GLASS of ophthalmic quality. Printed on the box is also a description that the bundle also contains OptiVISOR, a fitted, plastic carrying case, This product arrived in a box unsealed by the manufacturer labeled "OptiVisor Optical GLASS Binocular Magnifier DA 3. ". In addition to the visor with PLASTIC lenses, the box contained an owner's manual and an open, flimsy plastic wrapper. Glass lenses are not allowed. It does not come with a In order to get cheap plastic lenses, I would have ordered a less expensive product.

Amazon sold an inferior product in a box that was meant for a more expensive one, missing some Refunds were given to me by Amazon. I want the product I want, but how do I get it?.

A little different from what you're used to from Donegan
4/5

Astonished was how I felt. DON'T DO IT TWICE! It is finally working now that I have a brand new There are several optical viewers in my collection that I have in a variety of magnifications, so I am aware of what to expect in terms of This is the first time I've experienced a problem. In the end, the DA-2000 was the best buy for me A 7x magnification is needed for very close inspection It arrived after I finished work and I was shocked to find the plastic frame had gone brittle with glass lenses literally falling out. So, no problem. . . I'll simply snap the lenses in place and put it on the list of poor assembly work on the part of I gave up on getting the lenses to snap into place after numerous attempts, fearing that I would break According to my observation, this is a problem of the lenses in the glasses not being contoured properly, and I expect the factory assembly line The first thing I did was to contact the manufacturer via their customer service e-mail address as was my usual process You can email. Every time I write a product review, I try to do this first. Here is my review since I did not receive a response. am now going to return/exchange this product through the excellent Amazon returns / exchanges process. was hoping to avoid that and simply get a new lens assembly from the manufacturer to fix the problem. There is now no other option but to replace the entire In comparison with molded optical plastic, I prefer glass lenses. Personally I find them to be more scratch resistant. BREAKING UPDATE Before the first was returned, Amazon sent a new one as soon as possible. My jaw dropped when I saw what I saw. As with the original, the replacement also has incorrectly positioned lenses. It is impossible for this to be true! When it comes to precision binocular vision, how does a product with an uneven lens positioning work? It would be nice if the Donegan team educated me if I was wrong, but they never do. BREAKING UPDATE It took me a long time to receive a reply after writing a letter to the Donegan president. After being sent a new lens plate and asked for the questionable one to be returned, I returned the old plate. It is much better now that the two glass lenses are aligned properly on the new plate. Thus, I am increasing my review from 3 to 4 stars because I believe Donegan's products tend to be of good quality.

There are two types of OptiVisor -- the LX has a plastic lens and the "regular" has a The OptiVisors have been great to me, and my wife, too
5/5

But you should be careful - they can be dangerous! Under the OptiVisor name, there are two distinct products. It has interchangeable glass lenses and is more expensive than the original OptiVisor. This is the lower-class Plastic lenses are on the LX version of the model. After reading all the reviews, it appears that all the negative reviews are for the product LX, while all the glowingly positive reviews are for the original OptiVisor product. Both of these If you order the regular OptiVisor with the #4 lens, I recommend you buy it. Alternatively, you can use the regular OptiVisor DA, but not the LX.

Would not change a thing! This is an extremely useful and well-made product that is made in America! The reason I put off ordering these for so long is beyond me
5/5

The visors I have for years were the possession of a dentist (sorry, "oral surgeon") friend, and even when I tried them I fell in love (with the visor, not the man). The Donegan brand was recommended since it is actually made in the USA I made it. Quite a few people (including myself) enjoy the fact that with a headlight it would work. Despite the headlight costing $6k, it is made of fiber optics He may have spent $40 on his, but I spent $20 and it dims and focuses better! I got 2 out of 10. Almost by accident, but here's how it works I can focus in "stereo" at just the right distance using the aperture of 75. If you plan to look into someone's bloody mouth or solder, I suggest a lower power setting It feels exactly like a baseball cap on me at times, so sometimes I completely forget about it. There's no need to move the assembly to look over or under the lenses, which is nice. If I get a lower power (for less close-up Since I'm going to have to spend some time doing automotive repairs, etc) I'll just get the whole visor/lens set since having two would be more convenient.
